Seems I have so much I could blog about but don't feel like typing and typing. So here's the ideas I'm thinking about with a brief how I feel:)
-Special election in MA for Ted Kennedy's senate seat. I wish for just this one day I was a Massachusetts resident. This has been a Democrat state since 1977 I believe i heard on the news. Republicans have a chance, a good one even, at finally turning that state around. This is a closely followed election on all the news channels. And my friends I met at FL I hope you voted:)
-The Haiti earth quake. We were so out of connection when this all happened with us being in FL. I would give my right arm to adopt one of the orphans. It is weighing so heavy on my heart. Is it on yours? I'm curious is this is a normal feeling amongst us or if b/c of our adoption experience it tugs at my heart more. (there is no wrong answer) Its so sad to see to see all the devestation that an earth quake can do. They are talking 100's of thousands dead. Thats worse then what any terrorist attack. Unbelievable. Have any of my readers been to Haiti? Anyone with any experience from adopting from Haiti? How do you know which organzations are good to donate money too. I've heard to so many things saying that so often the money doesn't even get there!?
-Weather-looks like we're going to get an ice storm! Oh yeah. NOT. We came home to maybe 11 inches of snow. That means that 10+ inches melted. We've been having dense fog for quite awhile. The trees are so pretty but you know when we have fog like this in the winter a good storm is brewing.
-Caucuses are THIS SATURDAY for Iowa residents. My IA readers, go here to find your polling location. We here in my county, have our central committee meeting tonight. If you need more details I will be able to provide it after tonight. Looking forward to our meeting tonight and being way more involved with the process then I was able to two years ago.
-Kids-they are doing well. They are so happy to be home and play with their toys. That means they do not want to leave the house. Miss A says 'i want to play with my toys'. C'man had a hard time wanting to go to school He didn't like his jeans. I'm quite certain it's b/c he can't get them unbuttoned to go potty. Since he waits till the last possible minute, it's a mad rush to get it done. Then he can't get them buttoned again. Poor kid. But what do you do. He can't always wear sweats. (I can, but not him) He continues to love the Shamu (daddy and baby) and his Dolphin (mommy and baby) that he got @ Sea World. He loves them so much.
-Livestock or I guess the chickens. They are doing great! I cleaned out the house Sunday b/c it was so nice out. I swear it was warmer here Sunday then it was the Saturday before in Orlando. I moved the nest and found lots of eggs. Was like an Easter egg hunt LOL. I got 12 eggs that day. They must have missed me LOL. Altho one flew the coupe and hung out in a tree all day Sunday. Then on Monday when I went to get him out I fell thru a snowbank. i had no gloves and had snow up to my knees. I screamed, the chicken flew away. I think he's back with the others. Stupid white chicken.
Alright for not having much to say I guess i did:) What's new by you all??

Red Neck Fun
Grab a milk jug or in our case, OJ since we drink raw milk:) out of recycling. Needless to say recycling bins are FULL b/c garbage man could not make it into our driveway. Grrrrr....We won't visit that subject anymore, right DH???
Get it AWAY from dog!!! (NOT an easy task)
Bury it deep into the snow. Probably some 12 inches:)
Get the heck out of there but since the snow is up to your knees getting out before the dog buries you in know is quite a task.
Dog retrieves jug and now will NOT give it back to you. (barely see it but jug is in b/w his paws and he's watching C'man approach him)
Child and mother get frustrated with dog not wanting to cooperate. Therefore you move on to sledding down a hill. Dog not happy.
Dog grabs shovel now and is coming after you or anything in it's path. True story, this dog will flatten you on your back before you even see it coming. Ask DH about that. One minute he was standing and not even a second later he was flat on this back.
I'm thinking you need to be put to work dog!! Grab shovel by crawling on ground so as to not get clocked in the head.
DEFEATED!!
Now I'm thinking about spreading food, fat/grease, whatever all over the deck and seeing if he can get the snow off the decks.

We Have A Heartbeat
Today was my ultrasound and as my title says, we have a heartbeat. A good strong one at that! That is better news then I'd gotten last time. Last time we had a heartbeat but not a strong one! Same with Miss A, slow heartbeat, however it had only just started beating in her case. So....with continued prayers and faith in God, this pregnancy will continue. I'll go back in 10 weeks for another ultrasound. Now the next step is getting thru December 11-13, the dates I miscarried last year.
In other news, I did tell my parents!! My Dad had neck surgery on Wednesday and it was quite a surgery. They sent him home the next day, only to have him return Friday. Thursday night he was having intense pain. The Surgeon said he was sorry he sent him home. Against my mothers will. She told the surgeon I've been married for him 43 years I THINK I KNOW HIM!! That's right. The blood on my fathers side can NOT handle pain. Including my brother who had to be knocked out to have his wisdom teeth out and didn't respond to well.
So yeah, back in the hospital, well it's actually a surgery center, he went with high blood pressure and increased heart rate. Mom called and asked if she got a hotel room for the kids and i if we wanted to come up too. Of course we did!!
While dad laid in the hospital that evening, the kids swam. C'man drank to much pool water and as is normal he gets the runs. That made me want to vomit! I haven't started getting puking sick yet but from late afternoon till I fall asleep i feel awful. Mom was laying on the bed in the hotel room while I was trying to keep myself from getting sick. I then told her.
She wasn't completely shocked but surprised. Told dad the next day and he was surprised. The cat is out of the bag for my parents. The rest of the family we will wait till Christmas!
All that being said, looks like we're in for a snow storm starting tonight in to all day Tuesday. Jeff is combining against time here. He should get done today!!!! Pray nothing breaks down and he should be ok. Other farmers are not going to be as fortunate and with 40 mph winds, standing corn will probably take a hit!

I've Fallen and Can't Get Up
Just another post about how life for us is never lacking excitement, i mean entertainment. We, (more at my pushing then DH's) decided to move the chicken house to the south side of the barn. Easier access in winter to water, heat for the water dish, and sheltered more from the north and east winds. Today was the day for that. In order to move it DH had to get the bucket off the tractor and put the forks?? on it, the look something like this.
Picture chickens running loose, 18 of them, a dog that is obsessed with them, and then us or rather ME helping. It had to be quite a sight to see. Hauling this dog fence across the yard that was taller then me and possibly heavier and then DH pushing it WAY to fast thru a pile of weeds. I had to chuckle b/c i was certain this was hilrious for those up above watching us.
Got the fence up and the house set and now it was time to get the chickens.(DH still needs to cut a door for them to go in and out from) I knew it was going to be quite a task. That is was. DH is trying to help and I have my bucket of mash trying to lure them to the house with it. DH decides to help to which he thinks he has them coming and starts yelling 'go go GO' !!! I GO GO GO all right, right in to the bucket! That's right i fell right over backwards in to it. Total slow motion. I was like don't hit my head, what's going to happen to my back and please don't let those chickens attack me, and my gosh don't spill the MASH!!
It felt like i laid there forever. You know when you fall so hard you could puke? that was me not to mention my arm! My arm was hurting. I heard DH say 'oh NO!' and he was standing there looking at me. Not sure what was all going to hurt, but at the moment I needed to just take a breath of air. He thought he'd just lift me up. Couldn't do that cause my arm hurt. At which point we're trying to figure how i can get up, mind you my feet are still up in the air on the bucket. He comes over to help and the next thing i know there are chickens getting ready to peck at my crotch b/c i spilled all the mash. They are standing on my legs and my worse fear of being pecked to death could quite possibly become a reality. OK not literally, but none the less. I wanted out. DH got me picked up and here I sit to tell the story. Not sure how my arm is going to look in the hours and days to come, but it hurts.
At last another story for the blog:) And here are pictures of course!!

I went in the house, frustrated as all heck. DH I think knew better then to follow me in:) Here he is trying to round up chickens:
While I was finishing up this post DH started up the combine and chickens went everywhere. I went out and helped round them up. Here is some videos:) Please pardon our messy barn/outside. As soon as we have some $$ we will tin the barn and make it look 100 times better.

Oh lovely now I see I can't upload videos. I'll have to work on that.

If you would have asked me 10 years ago if I could be spending days, yes DAYS, canning I would have laughed at you! Well times are a changing. I am so freakin busy canning it's almost an obsession. Hence why I have been MIA. Not b/c of lack of things to write, oh heavens no, but from lack of time.
I'm in the midst of pitting/stoning plums right now that we found right on our land. WHAT a job. I'll be making plum jam. Better taste like gold!
Then apples are in plenty which we didn't think would be the case this year. I'm not 100% sure if I'll do applesauce or not. I can buy organic applesauce for way less then what I can make it and quite frankly the kids don't know the difference. I also have canned apple pie filling from last year still left over.
I got two crates/lugs of peaches too on Tuesday that are calling my attention.
This past Saturday I did tomato juice and again, not sure if I'll do more or not. My SIL and BIL have like an orchard full of tomato's:) My BIL got a little crazy and planted like 100 plants!! My SIL has been busy canning away and is done now. I can't let tomato's go to waste!! Not to mention we have about 12 plants here that hopefully, some day, will start turning.
So yeah, I'm busy. On top of that C'man is NOT liking school. This week, he goes 2 times, he is not lovin it. I'm not sure what the problem is other then possibly he thinks Miss A and I are having more fun at home without him OR he's not liking the structure. When we're home we do what the spirit leads us to do. If that means going from the chickens to the hot cycles to the kittens then so be it.
Speaking of CHICKENS, yes there is updates. We, kids and I, picked up 10 more yesterday. They are white and laying white eggs already. HOWEVER, they are not very social. Our 'original 10' come running to the fence when they hear our voices. Like to be held, peck my feet (have to wear boots now) and these huddle in the corner all freakin out on me.
BUT we are getting eggs!
So yeah, that's life right now. In the midst of this are meetings and more meetings. Need to run as we need to pick C'man up from school.
How are you all doing?

Another Mental Case
Seriously friends, this blog could be really interesting, or unbelievable, if i was able to blog every little drama that goes on. But you may not want me to hehe. We do have a new episode on our farm. It's DH's uncle now, FIL's brother.
It started last week with him calling here. I noticed it on caller id but was never home to answer it. Eventually he left a message saying something about cows in his corn b/c there is no fence across the creek. DH goes out and checks it, fence is there. Flash forward a couple days later when we have the gully of rain come and it washes out the fence and THEN cows get in his corn field.
Then comes Friday where the said uncle shows up HERE at our house. I was driving down the driveway behind him so he didn't know I was there. He notices me, lets me park in the garage, and then he gets out to start beckin at me about leaving messages, calling, fences, etc. I played kinda dumb and said yeah DH checked fence and it was there but got washed out after that big rain. Yes we had cows in there, 3 of them, got them in, etc. He is very cross with me and says WHO'S COWS ARE THEY!? At which point I just tell him he needs to go talk to DH, they aren't my cows, and I have nothing really to do with this. He leaves saying how he's going to tell the insurance agent that there was no fence. Whatever, that's why we carry insurance.
They proceed to drive to the farm where DH is loading out corn. Said uncle yells in the bin at him, DH is really irked now, and the exchange of words begins. DH telling him there was a fence there, crazy uncle says you think I can't see??
Well truth be known, he does have poor vision AND there is no way in HECK he could see if there was a fence or not, from the road. For the first time DH is pissed, and yes that's the word HE uses. Not to mention he calls him an ass. Those that know DH know he does NOT use language like that without it being warranted.
OK this is getting long. Let's skip to now. Yesterday during Miss A's party we get a call from crazy uncle. I find out later that he is yelling at DH going on and on about fences, cows, etc and DH hangs up on him. That must have fueled his fire. This AM we get word from BIL that he called there house ALL night long. And not just at 9pm but 1AM, 2AM, 4AM, etc can you believe that????
If we would have gotten called at that hour it would NOT have been pretty. (BTW that did happen right after we got home with C'man you know sleep is majorly deprived, etc and it's DH's mail carrier that he subs for drunk off his ars needing DH to work for him. Mind you it was 1AM!!! I was out of it when I answered the phone and was called some pretty nasty names when I reminded him its 1AM, GO TO BED!! STOP CALLING HERE till your sober. That warranted me as a bitch from his friends. We did get a written letter of apology at my demand.) back on track....so here we are now.
BIL never answered the phone and gave the deputy a call this AM and a report is being filed. They will then come out to crazy uncle's house and let him know whatever they need to. This is going to get SO interesting. He's the type of person you never know could take you out with a shot gun. His mental issues are on a different level then FIL. FIL is not harmful where as uncle nut could be!!
Now I'll need to keep an eye out for him coming over here. If he shows up I will have to get the kids in the house ASAP and lock the doors. I will not talk to him, not even thru a window.
It really is all so sad. To see this mental war going on b/w two brothers really is sad. This Uncle Nut has been pretty much cut off by the family for earlier issues within the family. As in he tried to get his blind MOTHER to sign some sort of agreement about land. She figured it out and kicked him out.
Stay tuned as I'm sure this is going to get even more interesting. Isn't my life full of such fun!?

Cows and Tall Corn = Not Good
Upon arrival from an afternoon at the pool, we were summoned for back up. No not for any police hold up, but for cow back up. We had cows out (in the neighbors shhh) in the corn field. This is a HUGE deal for a number of reasons:
-damage they do trampling the corn
-if they eat to much, which the WILL do, they will get bloated and die
-they are SO hard to see b/c the corn is so tall.
I quickly turned th
e boiling pot of water for fresh corn on the cob, to simmer and told the kids hurry up we got
cows out.

This job can be very hard without cooperation from everyone, including the dogs. Here Boji is on watch. KDee is inside the pickup and is a great cow chaser.
We almost have them in at this point.
And now for real coverage:) Warning no animals or people were injured during the taping of this. BTW foul language could be used, however I think I shut the camera off just in time:) At one point with the cows standing in the corner of the field, they turned around to head back in. I dropped the 'S' word and was promptly echoed by Mr C'man. Opps...

Hail Wars
Interesting title eh?? Stick with me and you'll find out why. I want to thank BFFE for the suggestions. They are great and I have them printed out so when i get a blogger block I can refer to it. Since she did suggest farm stories that's what today is about.
Last night @ 1230AM i woke up to loud thunder, bright lightening and lots of rain. Oh and who could forget the rain. I turned the TV on to see about weather warnings and wondered if i should wake everyone up and seek shelter. No tornado warnings BUT we were in a Severe Thunderstorm Warning which means tornado's COULD happen with little to no warning. Yeah.....I came downstairs to find DH down here and he said that the storm was almost done based on radar. Back upstairs I went. Did I mention I was quite cross. I was so stinken tired from Bible School that being woken up was NOT what I wanted. Back to sleep I went only to be awoken again 1 1/2 later by hail pelting the windows. It was SO loud!!! All I could think of was the crops.
I thought back while growing up how hail storms just meant damage to cars, roof, etc now hail has an entire new dimension. Our life!! As in our crops!!!! How many of you watched Little House On the Prairie and watched Charles try as his crops were diminished to just a stalk, by a hail storm. That's all that was running thru my mind. No lie, it hailed non stop for 30 min!! Once again I came downstairs, this time to find DH ASLEEP on the couch. I think he knew there was nothing he could do. The hail was hitting on 3 sides of the house.
Once again, back up to bed feeling quite cross and nervous. But then BAHM I swear lightening struck the tree right outside our house. It was so loud i hit the floor!! OK maybe I hit the bottom of the bed with the sheets.
Woke up this AM to the sun out, we must have lost power b/c my clock was flashing, and a mess of leaves, branches all over the place. DH set out with the kids to survey damage. All while i was cutting beans to freeze. What a process. Anyway, the garbage truck came and I asked him what kind of damage he saw and he said south of Hwy 20 was pretty bad. EEKS I told him where we have a farm there and he said we'd best check it. Called DH and he was surprised thinking that farm was spared. He brought the kids back home and headed out.
DH just came home and said there was about a 4 mile stretch that got hit pretty hard. Literally 3/4 mile north of our place nothing. Are crops aren't stripped by any means but there probably is some damage. He will have to get the insurance adjuster out. That being said, yes we do carry insurance for hail BUT when prices are where they are at you will never get what you fully have invested in your crops back from an insurance claim.
It's nervous for me b/c the selling of our crops IS our income. We don't have full time jobs that supplement our income. We have a hail storm, strong winds, tornado's, etc that wipe us out, we are going to be hurtin. It's a tough field (haha) to be in. Farming requires a lot of work and timing. Have to have crops in by a certain time, out by a certain time (weather) you pay so much money upfront like fertilizer, seed, gas, time, etc before you see any return. Depending on when the farmer sells his crops, he could go 9 + months before he reaps what he sewed.
So much more I could say about this but really I think DH should do a guest post as Farmer Brown. (any of you know that book??) For right now it looks like we've been spared the brunt of it but in the days to come will know for sure. I did just look at my garden from the window here, and it's not looking to well. I guess I'll go survey my own damage right here.
Off the subject, FIL is back in the hospital and no time as to when he'll be released.

Tractor For ???
DH has been talking about getting a newer, note NEWER, tractor. Just now he said he's really thinking about it as his friend said 'it's a good deal.' His friend is a salesman for John Deere. Wanna see what he's looking at??
Pretty snazzy eh?? or rather then ? I should use $$. I do trust DH to make a wise financial decision and he is NOT very compulsive so I'm not to worried. But at the same time I think man we could pay off our house & van by the time he pays for this.
BUT his sales pitch? It works/drives just like our lawn mower which means I can drive it. Or rather as he says 'you can help me' oh yes dear that sounds like such a great idea. Me driving a tractor worth more then me.
I told him I was going to blog about this tractor and he wanted me to wait till he finalized things as he 'may change his mind'. I'm like who cares? It's something to blog about:) BTW I had a picture of Miss A on this tractor but after uploading it I noticed she was na*ked. Oops deleted that from here:)

Chickens

Finally I have some pictures uploaded of the new chicken house:) But of course that meant we had to move them in there. Tried to convince my niece to help. She wasn't to fond of the idea. But here we are moving chickens.

Here we are trying to convice JoJo to help:)
C'man talking to the chickens about there new dwelling. Laying the rules down. He's in here all the time talking to them. I just took a video of him doing it.

It Is A New Day
Here I sit when I should be cleaning my house. My cousin from Arizona and his wife are coming to visit. They are visiting my G'parents so they are coming too. I'm looking forward to it and hoping they can see past our messy, uncompleted house.
Miss A is napping. She also was asleep by 7PM last night. During supper she did not want to eat TWO green beans. Just two people. She wouldn't do it. She ran upstairs and a couple minutes later I followed. I put her in her jammies, she tried to tell me she was ready to eat, and I said good night. She actually fell right to sleep. Now this AM she wanted more M&M's (organic ones...didn't know there were such a thing, BTW they are yucky) I told her no and she went upstairs. I found her asleep in bed. SOOO I'm thinking the child is exhausted and I dare bet to say a little constipated. I gave her prune juice a couple days ago, nothing! Anyone else have any other ideas? Apple Juice maybe?? A chiropractor adjustment?
In other news, you should have seen C'man and I trying to round up the chickens last night. Oh wait, here's where they live now: ok guess I don't have them downloaded yet. At any rate, there is this dirt pile covered in weeds. Yeah nothing new for us to have weeds. The chickens like it up in there. There we were trying to chase them out. C'man would climb up in those weeds and I'd sit watch at the bottom with a broom. Dang thing (only one) would run the opposite direction of my broom. EVENTUALLY and that was a long eventually we got him in. Oh yeah, I sent C'man to get Boji to help round it up. Boji didn't exactly know what he was doing, but he did get him out. Now I need to train the kittens to do it too.
This was after we walked thru the bean field trying to find Ethel's kittens. Yeah she hid them on us. You would think we could find them now that they are old enough to meow when called. But Ethel leads us the opposite direction I swear. You can follow her and watch her and you turn your back and poof she's gone. It's like how the heck does she manage to just disappear in all this open space without one of us seeing her.
She did leave one kitten behind and that one is now bunking with the new kittens. Going to be a regular cat farm around here.
Better get going now. What's new and exciting in your lives???

Dreary, Rainy Day
Why can it not rain during the night. I tell you the weather here in Iowa has felt more like March then June. It's been very rainy and cold. We have yet to be to the pool and my garden is growing lousy. Today, Friday, it has been raining since 1030 AM. Prior to that it was drops here and there. We still managed our play group at the park, at least the kids got some exercise in.
On our way to the park, I noticed a sign for a tractor ride. Ever heard of them? Bunches of old tractors go on a tractor ride through out the country. They started coming by our house @ noon and at about 3 was probably the last time we saw a couple. It was really a lot of fun. Just wish it wouldn't have been raining. Those poor guys (and some women) on those tractors were just soaked. Rain gear or not, they were soaked. C'man and I did watch about 10 of them at the end of our driveway. Otherwise we just waved from our front door.
Here's some pics:
.jpg)
The best was the green tractor pulling the red one. I thought it was a John Deere, which is what we drive. DH later informed me it was some other kind of green tractor. I thought green = John Deere. None the less, it was a fun time.

Tonight, if it stops raining, we're going in to a nearby town where there is a tractor and car show. Just something to do more then drewl (how the heck to do you spell that!?) over them:) We may meet up with another family for supper. BUT it has to stop raining.
Saturday I'm selling my purses in the park where a kids day will be going on. I hope to get rid of MOST of them! Heck I'd love to sell them ALL but that's not possible. I'll be offering $5 off, have a large bag of 1/2 price ones, and then my facebook fans get an additional $2 off:)
I hope to do really good.
OK well I guess this is a wrap.

And Then There Were Three
Really?? Can this really be my life? You all seeing how freakin crazy my life is? Well it just got crazier.
This afternoon I was staining windows in C'mans room. Something I have put off for oh....6 months?? I HATE it. But anyway, I'm finishing up and in drives my BIL with ducks in the back of his truck. I couldn't get my staining gloves of fast enough, wondering what the hell he was doing. (sorry but that was exactly what I was thinking)
If Miss A hadn't been napping AND i wasn't upstairs, I'd yelled and jumped out the window. I rushed downstairs, thru the house, muttering 'oh NO you don't' or 'what the hell' I get out there to see him walking with THREE DUCKS and ONE BLACK CHICKEN.
Being held by there feet he says: 'This is ALL I HAVE LEFT'.
'Excuse me?? Pardon me but what are you doing with them HERE?? I HATE ducks. I even want to hate these chicks.'
My 14 yr old niece was with him or I'm most certain I would have been freaking out more. THEN my brain kicks in and I have a suggestion.
I tell him 'I have a deal. You can keep them here IF you go get that building I'm going to make in to a chicken house down at the neighbors'
He grunts, groans, mutters something and I say 'seriously they are not ALL going to stay in my garage. I'm not cleaning up after 3 ducks on top of my already messy chickens'.
He tells me DH can go get the building. I reply ahhhh Haaa that's the problem. He won't/can't/to busy/ and I want it NOW:)
He leaves and if I had a stick I'd been shaking in the air as he left. THREE stinken ducks quacking and it's driving me fricken nuts.
Oh wait, there's more. I get this idea to list them on this free recycle website as well as on facebook. Well guess what, I have a taker. My lovely Jen. I tell BIL of my new founded home for them and he replies: 'I don't think so, I'm taking them back as soon as I figure out what's killing them'
DRATS!!!!!!!!!
Not sure how many days that means but 5 hours later and I'm still going crazy listening to those things quack. Did I mention yet how annoying they are??
Well now they are in there own cage. Remember how chickens will peck to death an animal that is wounded, well that's what they are doing to the one duck. Oh and another duck had it's eyes poked out by this varmet! I'm told that the scene in the chicken house was awful. Whatever animal is doing this has NO mercy. They found chicken pieces up in a tree, above the garage, and who knows where else. What amazes me is know one heard this!? When DH and I lived over there we heard right away if something was in the chicken house.
They are kind of thinking it's a Wiesel?? I have no idea what that is but it sounds awful b/c they are known to bite the head off AND suck the blood out. How awful is that!!!!
That's my story for today. I tell ya, if I had the time, I could blog a story about every day. Inevitably there is always something. I'm heading off to bed. I have to go laugh myself to sleep b/c I still can't believe this is my life!
Tomorrow is C'mans Bible School program. I can't wait:)

New Toy
Yah like???? I actually had the worst, and most embarrassing, moment with a lawn mower just like this, this past summer. The guy who sold us this, and is DH's friend, wanted to know if a female could operate it. Well judas priest, sure i can but you can't just put me on it say 'do this, do that', and expect me to go!!!! I ended up running up a TREE!!!!!! Kid you not. It was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH had it on video and i deleted it. I so wish now, I wouldn't have b/c it could have won us $10,000 I'm sure!We got this delivered about 2 weeks ago. I have mowed once and what used to take me over 1 hour on a different mower, not takes me about 30 min!!! Grunt grunt!! I have it for the most part, mastered. I worked on that when know one was around. I'll see about DH taking a video of me operating it:)

Baby Chick Update
***I'm sorry this is so disorganized. I have been working on setting the pictures up in some sort of order and I keep loosing them. Not to mention the system shut down on me. Thank goodness for auto save. Sorry about the flow of this but hopefully you will still enjoy it:)I haven't updated you all on the chickens:) I'm really not sure how many we have left b/c trying to count them is like impossible. They are starting to fly around so even taking them outside for 'play time'
has come a bigger task then I'm up for. Although the other AM when i went outside (they
are in the garage) to do my chores, i saw the cat was left in the garage!! 3 chicks were running around. I found one on the other side of the garage. Well i found another one too. Or rather pieces of another one. Nothing like finding a wing and a foot of a chick. EWWWW

Also
last Friday C'man stepped on one, by accident of course. Him and his sister each had ONE out. I looked out the window and Miss A had hers on the top of the swing set. While I ran out to get/rescue it I saw the lid was off the pool and the cat was in there. By the time i took care of putting the lid back on, I came to find a chick flopping in the grass. I picked it up to see blood coming from its beek and eyes. It was AWFUL!! I buried it by the swing set so C'man could be reminded of it. I know, what an insensitive mother I am. He stands over the 'grave' covering his eyes, then peeks out to see if it's still 'there'. Well the other day it was gone!! He was excited thinking it was 'better'. No I told him, it rose from the dead like Jesus did:) Ahhh turned it in to a lesson I did.
