VooDoo Doc visit

This AM I had an appt for the 'Voo Doo' Doctor in Jefferson IA. He is a Chiropractor that practices alternative medicine. I made the appt for Miss A and her constipation problem she has been dealing with since birth. She continues to be in a bad mood and HATES being changed. So enough was enough and i finally made the appt. It was about a 2 hour trip otherwise I'd had made an appt long time ago.

Mr C'man went to our old baby sitter and Miss A and I set off for Jefferson. The ride was uneventful although i do question my TomTom's ability to pick the 'fastest route'. The appt was just AMAZING!! I just can not believe it. Dr Miller, aka Voodoo man, worked on Miss A by having her lay on the examination table/bed and I sat on the table up by her head. He poked, pushed, touched, etc different areas of her body. Then he had me put one had on her and hold my other, left arm, straight up and was not to let him push it down. When ever there was a 'weak' area on Miss A my arm would go down. He'd 'fix' it and then tell me to put my arm out again and it WOULDN'T GO DOWN!! She laid there very calmly for him this entire time, VERY relaxed. Then he gave her some vials and did some more resistance things. He noticed that she has an allergy to a drug found in vaccinations, he then rid her body of it.

Then he said 'I'm going to work on your mommy'. I wasn't planning on that. He then had me hold a variety of vials and did some more resistance tests. He says 'you've been very sick' I thought about it and remembered that yes I had had the flu. He said 'no sicker then that'. Hmmm...he said 'you have staph, strep and phenomena, in your body'. I was SHOCKED b/c that would be entirely possible. I had MRSA a couple years ago and have never been able to get rid of it. I had a horrible cold a/b a month ago and well strep is a form of staph. He said 'it's not even just strep, its strep B and that is very serious'. So he 'rid my body' of those infections and said i should be cleared of them now! He can only treat 3 infections at a time. He doesn't even check for any more after he finds 3, however a person could come back in 1 1/2 and he could do another treatment. He said he has people fly in first thing in the AM and then every 1 1/2 they do another treatment and they fly out early evening. YES he has people fly in from all over the USA!

After he finished with me he wanted to do an emotional eval on Miss A. He worked on her and then said 'OK now try changing her diaper'. I did with NO problems although I'm not 100% convinced that was just b/c we were in a different place. But anyway he said she was emotionally damaged. Made me feel horrible but the doc instantly gave me the high five but with the knuckle kind of thing and said i think we're well on our way. I'm sure all those times of changing her and having to take her temp rectally and do suppositories is what made her HATE her changing table. He told me if she still is horrible to change to not tolerate it and get her back in for another session.

$110 later we left. I thought that was a GREAT price b/c we both got treated. Now return visits will be $26! I got right in my van and called my mom and said you have GOT to see this man. I'm wondering how many of you think I'm crazy!? I must say tho that when i was younger, like 10-13 yrs old i went to a doc that practiced acupressure. He cured me, i kid you not, of my nervousness. My dad thought it was CRAZY, as he does this, but he also will kind of bite his lip and says you sure didn't have many stomach issues after it tho.

I encourage ANY of you who live in IA to contact me for more information. I think it would be well worth your trip to see him AND you could even stay over night and do sessions on both days. We won't rush back but I'm not going to put it off.

With that I must express my sadness to my first college roommate who's father passed away Sunday AM from a heart attack. It really makes you realize how quick those you love, can be taken from you. Her family is expecting the first AND SECOND g'babies this summer and fall AND next April my roommate will be getting married. It makes me so sad. I talked to her last night and they are getting by. So if you are in to praying, please send up some prayers for there family. Hugs to you KL!!!

I Survived

And it's nothing short of a miracle, I made it thru the garage sale. Let me tell you, people REALLY need to get rid of stuff rather then pawn it off. We allowed 'donations' of items and then we, the community center, would get the proceeds. What a MESS!! I didn't price any of it and bless the ladies that did b/c I'm pretty darn sure I would have handed people a bag and said fill it for $5.

Yesterday I got there @ 1 to price things. Instead 2 of the men were already putting tables out, which was awesome. That meant I got to place them the way I WANTED!! Score for Rachel! But then that meant we all, 4 of us, had to haul ALL THE LOOT from the weight room to the gym. I tell ya what I've NEVER seen so much stuff. Tons of baby thru adult clothes and lots of just plain junk. I meant to take my camera but forgot it. We had 7 8 ft tables and that didn't fit 1/2 the stuff. We could have filled the entire gym with just donated stuff.

So i got there at 1 and didn't get home till 745PM!! But not with out some drama. Miss Personality came flying in to the gym with her claws OUT!! She was hotter then hot b/c Betty (volunteer) had called her to see if you could come help. Well at the last meeting I said i had the workers all worked out. I mean really, she says that night at the meeting in a VERY snotty tone: 'So i suppose you expect us to work at this?? What about that? How you going to handle THAT?' At which i replied 'oh don't worry about it i have it covered'. I mean really, do think I'm going to ask her help after that kind of question? I'd run the entire thing in 4ft heals before I'd ask HER to help! So yeah, she comes barreling in there yesterday saying 'Do you not remember what you told us at the last meeting that you didn't NEED help??' I was literally caught off guard!! Betty goes over and says 'well we didn't know there was going to be this much stuff." I said too yeah, there is just tons and bless your souls for pricing this all. ( i found out later she did VERY little in that part too) but don't worry about it, i think will be just fine. Then Betty goes over to hug her and she screams 'don't hug me I've just had a biopsy of my shoulder and it hurts' Betty told her to go home and rest and i gladly seconded that.

I feel quite bad for her b/c she's mad at the world. Everything is poor me. She comes from a very large family so both her parents are deceased. She hasn't done much, if anything, to change her quality of life and I just really feel bad she's so angry. I want to so tell her this but yeah, what good would it do. There would probably be a brawl on the floor of her and me. She NEVER smiles and complains ALL the time. Really, who wants to hang around someone like that!? She did come today and she went right over to a table and started flappin her jaws NON STOP and i was getting glares. I thought come on really!? you really think people want to hear you complain about me?! I busted my arse to make everything go and you're going to complain. WOW!!

At any rate the sale itself went good. I was disappointed that some of the people that rented tables, didn't all show. I did sell my double stroller so that means i can get a sit'n'stand! I made about $225 and giving what I had, I was darn happy with.

The donation table looked like nothing even left. And people bought like crazy. We sent most of it to shelters, goodwill, etc and MOST of it went right to the dumpster. I really hope people don't come looking in the dumpster and see there stuff in it. Some of the clothes for babies was so nasty i wouldn't let me cats use it for bedding. I just can't believe some people think they are doing us a favor by what they donated. GROSS i couldn't wait to shower after touching some of it. And shoes?? please just throw them away, unless there little kids. and PLEASE don't bring us your 1x sweater with a BIG ol stain that looks like a ketch up bottle exploded.

All in all I'd say it was a success. People asked if we'd be doing it again and I said not with me in charge. I'm DONE and remind me of this the next time I say I'm going to do a fundraiser for the community center. These women are not who you want to mess around with.

Tonight I'm not cooking!! We actually are going out with DH's family for the March/April b-days which by the way, mine is in THREE DAYS!! Got my presents bought?? If you need my address, let me know (LOL) i got one today from my sister, a very colorful tray and some nice dish rags. I was saying I wanted a tray b/c I'm sick of making 101 trips from the counter to the table! This is perfect!!

How many of you had a garage sale? How many like to garage sale? What's the best bargain you've gotten?? Actually I'll do a 'poll'. Yeah sounds like a good idea. I think I'm going to do a give away!! Maybe a mini flat wallet?? Watch for details!!

Know what it is in 2 weeks???

My BIRTHDAY!! Yup that's right another year older, and wiser I'll become. When i was working outside the home, I'd make a big deal out of my b-day. One of the other girls that I worked with, before she moved to Florida, we had fun planning our 'b-day MONTH' at work. Each year I'd come up with a different theme. Lets see there was care bears, strawberry shortcake, and actually that's all I can think of in my wind blown head (VERY windy here). I'd tell them i was registered at different stores and would make sure they had my invitation list to MY PARTY:)

Of course that was all in fun and games and to be honest, it gave us all something to laugh about and have fun with. But we would order lunch from the b-day persons favorite place and there would be treats and cake. Often years there were some little presents too.

I love presents. BUT i hate suspense/surprises. The biggest torture for me is when someone says 'i have a surprise for you' I kid you not, I will do whatever it takes to beat it out of you. My husband as realized it's best to say NOTHING if he has a surprise. I don't like suspense one bit. I like to be prepared. If you'd throw a surprise party for me and could get it past me, well then you're pretty darn good. Like the time I had a baby shower at church, before C'man was born, and my FF-L flew in from New Jersey and surprised the HECK out of me. Everyone but Jeff and I knew she was coming. It was the most amazing thing EVER. Even the ladies of the church were involved in it. That's probably the only time someone has surprised me like she has.

So anyway, yesterday I told DH I needed to get up to Sioux city to get HIS b-day present. His is the 22nd!! He wanted some ideas for my b-day, ok so maybe i asked him what he had in mind for me. So i obliged. My list consisted of:
Pedicure/facial/massage
a nice outfit like Capri's, shirt
blue tooth for my cell
jewelry (of which i just got it myself and it'll be my present to me)
someone to come in and give our house a 'deep cleaning'
picture frames

I told him that anything on this list would be fine but what he doesn't get, could then be given on Mothers Day (LOL) Now really does anything on that look to hard?? I think the first would be the easiest b/c that would just entail a call to a place and give them his credit card number and wala, done deal.

Want to know what HE wants to get me?? Lingerie. I said heck no, what a waste of money and time. Get me something I really want and could use.

So with that i have a b-day challenge for you readers. I want you to tell someone about my blog and you and them post a comment. Lets see if I can get some of you stalkers to come out and talk to me. Pleeeeaasseee it's my b-day wish from you, to me!!

Time to go finish getting ready for my in laws. They are coming over for supper tonight. Roast with veggies in the crock pot, homemade bread in the bread machine and waiting for DH to bring Vegetable oil so i can finish the cake:)

In the last 24 hours

I tell ya I haven't had this rough of a week since deciding to stay home over 6 months ago (adjusting to that was rather hard). We have all been sick, still sick with colds now, and ALL over tired. We all have managed to get on one another's nerves but i think my nerves are about at the end. I took Miss A to church yesterday b/c C'man woke up in a bad mood. There was NO WAY church would go over with the way he was acting. Since DH was still getting over the flu and within 15 min of waking up C'man AND Miss A were screaming I took her.

Would ya believe me if I told you that some people didn't even know Miss A was with me?? I had to play the piano so she sat on the bench right behind me like a little lady. She was just an angel. Can't believe I'm even using the word 'Angel' in the post b/c it's been anything but that for both kids.

C'man got some much needed cough medicine after a quick, and last minute trip, to the pediatrician early Friday evening. Thank goodness for late hours! While it makes him stop coughing which allows him to sleep, it turns him in to the devil. He just is ornerier then a doz pigs. He doesn't eat, cries at anything, sticks his tongue out me and is anything but sweet.

Miss A just screams all the time. I'm resorted to letting her walk around with her binkie just to keep her quite. It's her way or the hwy which it always HAS been but the last 24 hours I'm not all about it. Yesterday she was in her bed 3 times after just being awake for 2 hours. Timeout for her and mommy!

DH walks around like he's going to fall over and die. He says he has a migraine which sets me off b/c anyone that has had/have migraines know that if you have a migraine you are literally dead to the world if you aren't puking.

SO....this is just another glimpse besides the above that they have done. While getting supper ready yesterday C'man got a yellow crayon and colored all over the NEW flat screen TV, foot rest and God only knows what else!! Imagine my horror when i saw it and new DH was coming home any minute. Thank GOD for magic erasers.

Just a little while ago i found the two of them downstairs with Popsicles that i had meant to throw out outside b/c they were all yucky in our freezer. I found Miss A on the train table with hers and C'man in the toy box with his and his was ALL over him. And not only on him but on the carpet and did i tell you it was a red Popsicle.

I also braved the moods and baked cookies to which I'm happy to say for ONCE they did NOT turn out flat!! I'm ELATED about that. But the little monsters stole two of them which means they will now not eat supper.

So yeah, don't you want to come live at my house?? I'm taking applications.....better yet will someone please come take me away for the day b/c the next post might be from the loony bin!!

Oh and just one more thought if my kids don't make me a drinkin women this garage sale that I'm organizing WILL!!

Crazy time

I feel like I'm a chicken running around with my head cut off. This week is CRAAAZY!! About 3 hours after i posted those pictures I was worshiping the porcelain god. Sorry no pics of that, oh heavens NO!! I got the flu going around. I did double duty (both ends) therefore i feel that's why after 12 hours i was feeling much better. But really, do ya think my husband could have kept the kids downstairs as i was upstairs puking my brains out?? No, Miss A had to pat my back and C'man had his stethoscope. Good grief.

By Thursday AM I was doing much better and last night I was doing a Ladies Night Out. I would have rather stayed home trust me, but the idea that i could be missing out on some good sales and prospective purse party hostesses i HAD to go. It wasn't bad. The weather here is just ROTTEN so i think that kept many, if not most, at home.

Today, Friday, was a style show in a nearby town. I wondered again as the wind blew me to town if it was worth it. Had to drop the kids off with FFS, so she had 5 kids under 3. Then i walked in and another person was there with jewelry and purses. BUT it all worked out I did sell a fair amount of items.

Tomorrow is our Spring Fling and after that I'm FREE!!! That would have been the time to get sick.

HOWEVER i must send out a big congrats to my first college roommate 'Ketta' on her engagement. We found one another again via 'facebook'. It's been great catching up, and even seeing one another. I can't wait to help with wedding planning and I already have an idea for colors. She wants her primary color to be red. Well since I'm all about 'inspirational pieces' I found something of Miss A's clothes that has red and 3 other colors. I need to share it with her first tho....Tell us tho, what color would you accent red with?? It'll be an April wedding....

Off and running.........

The last 48 hours

It's been CRAZZZY around here and it's only going to get worse (all in a good way tho). Since my last post C'man got sick. Monday night he lay on the couch with DH when he said 'oh I have a baby in my tummy' to which we said WHAT??? 'yeah he says baby kittens'. LOL! Well I'm thinking now, hindsight thing going on, that his tummy must have been gurgling getting ready for what was to come. Before I go to bed I do a last tucking in of everyone. I found C'man laying in a pile, and i mean a PILE, of puke. I will NEVER eat or look at the pasta bake things from Pizza Hut the same again. I'll spare you all the details.

That was the only time he was sick but continued to run a fever. He is still coughing like crazy, like he's hackin up a hairball. I'm like good grief kid get it up and out! Tuesday we did all go outside, etc Both kids got to take a ride with DH while he spread fertilizer on the hay fields. I have a video I can post.

Last night (Tuesday) was my monthly Central Committee Meeting. I really enjoyed it. We had a variety of 'men' there running for different offices. One of them being State Central Committee of which my dad has been on and not running for reelection. I had the opportunity to represent one of they guys running. However a gentleman by the name of Ted Spoar who also is on the SCC. He ended up talking for quite some time about the condition the Republican party is in IA, which is not good. But anyway he was so entertaining to listen too. He ended up 'endorsing' if you want to call it that, the gentleman I was representing and another one running for re-election. He was a hard 'act' to follow, so i said very little which was just fine too. Ted has a blog too, haven't had much time to read it but if you're in to politics it's a sure one to check out. It is http://therealsporer.blogspot.com/

In addition Steve Rathje was there and he's running against Harkin. I'm not sure what I think of him. He spoke like he'd given this speech 1001 times. Which, I'm sure he has. But to me he seemed like a 'typical politician'. I didn't feel connected to him. That being said, he's running a hard battle and we need to get Harkin out of there. I will throw my support behind him for that reason. I think i should probably do more research on the guy but as of right now, i wasn't real impressed. Per another important person in my life, they felt the same that I did.

So yeah, I didn't get home till after 9 pm and had to make an egg dish for MOPS today. (http://www.mops.org/) Finally by 1030 i was able to get to sleep. No more pukes either!!

Today (Wednesday) was MOPS in the AM. C'man stayed home with DH. They rode in the tractor ALL AM. But this AM when i went upstairs to get C'man he said to me 'i have to go see Jo-Jo' I said oh sweetie, do you think JoJo will make you feel better??

He then said I have to go to 'kankato' (mankato) and watch the Hockey." I tried to tell him she's playing V-ball now but he wasn't liking that.

Anyway, this afternoon the men, took two this time, came to fix my dishwasher. I tell you what!! I'm so sick of washing dishes by hand. That's for the BIRDS!! They called me while I was out walking. Which was divine. I walked 30 min while i talked to my FFS. It was just perfect weather out and so fun walking and talking, although i was like gasping for air and the road was rather busy. I said to her you know i better never hear how come two women have to use the restroom together, b/c i have 2 men in there now putting a new door on my dishwasher' Seriously tho, i see so many time where it takes 2+men to do the job one can!? Just me???

Speaking of jobs. We started tearing up the large piece of cement where a corn crib once stood (thank you WIND for taking that thing out, to bad it's taken us like 3 years to finish cleaning it up) So yesterday DH and I worked on that. There is a lot of great dirt out there that we will be using to landscape around the house. Anyway i decided to start filling in along the driveway. Awhile back we had a water leak and in trying to find it, we had to do some major digging. We actually thought it was under the driveway. But it wasn't (a garden hose was left on!!!) But we won't go any further then that on that subject.

I don't mind working hard. I detaseled for one summer, that's hard and hot work. I don't mind getting down and dirty, etc BUT do not expect me to camp. I'll camp if it's a camper with shower,(no thanks for the public ones, you know what could be all over that floor??) oven, (don't like fires b/c they make me stink) however I'd prefer delivery with plastic plates for easy clean up. I'll discuss further in another post.

We've been needing to fill in where it dug and i took the challenge on. Here's some pictures:

Thinking there HAS to be an easier way then lugging that big and heavy bucket i got the wagon. It still was hard dumping it but from the next picture you can see i made some progress.

C'man awake and wanting to help. 'He said after one scoop, "This is hard work" 'r's are silent. I'm like yeah i KNOW!

AT this point I'm thinking wonder what it would take for me to learn to drive that tractor. I'd be a lot further then i am now!!

OK now I'm done!! My back is killing me, the sun has gone away, I'm cold and you know what DH probably won't like how i did it. While I laid on the ground the cat 'apple' was playing so cute.

This is as good as it'll get and judging from the horrible weather forecast they predict, I'm thinking this will all be washed away by Monday and I'll have totally wasted my time.

Screw it folks. I'm done:) Now the cute cat and kitten:

Aww the cat's life

C'man would roll that ball and the cat would chase it.
C'man with one of the new kittens. Telling me 'oh so cute'
Don't you just love this hat!!

Miss A was sleeping during this entire time but here's a couple pics of her from this past weekend:

I've got to go work on something for supper. Any ideas???

Wedding

This weekend was the big wedding of our dear friend. I've already posted about them so let me jump in and start the play by play of the BIG day. This will be a long post. Grab a beer, tea, water, whatever and come on in, relax and read on:)
We left our home around 230, right as planned. Well i guess it was closer to 245 b/c we spent that long trying to get one stupid cat out of our garage. (to which it won) After DH stopped to pay a bill in town, and I ran in to Caseys for a soda, i realized that I'd forgotten the wedding gift. So we hauled butt home where I ran in, got it and set forth again.

The ride to Columbus Nebraska was uneventful. The kids were great and C'man wore underwear the entire trip with no accidents. But i must say I can tell when I'm in Nebraska. The area we were in was quite a bit hillier then typical Nebraska but it just felt deserty (probably not a word) to us. There was lots of dust, some flatness, just felt 'hicky' sorry NE friends (BFFE). I'm sure others feel the same way about Iowa. We'd be in b/w towns and there would be 35+ miles before we'd hit another town. That being said, I did go to college in Nebraska and I'm going to have a post about that b/c we went thru the town. (DH went to college here too)

We quickly settled in to our room before heading for the rehearsal. Side note on the hotel, in the future we will get a suite. 2 double beds and a pack'n'play leaves NO room for anything. All I did for the rehearsal was eat:) Well and chase kids which became the #1 thing I did all weekend. After that the kids and I left to go back to the hotel. I took them swimming but Miss A wanted nothing to do with the water. I took her out of her swimsuit when i realized she was burning up. During the course of the next 10 hours her fever got up to 104!! I had to call DH and have him pick up Tylenol (couldn't find the one i packed) and a thermometer. We waited and waited for him. Most of the night was spent with her whimpering on and off. Finally at 530 I brought her in bed with me and she was just a furnace. I'm thinking that was when her fever 'broke'.

Saturday AM was up and at em as DH had to be at the grooms house at 830! The wedding started at 2. The kids and I hung out, I let C'man go swimming again. He has this great life jacket so he can be in alone, of course I'm sitting nearby. Miss A and I watched him swim and swim. Then being the great kids they are, they went right down for naps. There i sat wondering what I was going to do while they napped. I called my mom, out in the hallway, before coming back and sitting on a desk with my book up to the window so I could read. Those hotels sure have dark shades.

The wedding, well it was a Catholic wedding, so it was LONG. Oh my...we didn't last past the bride walking down the aisle. We retreated to the back row then out in the entry way. It was a beautiful church and was full of people. The 3 ushers had LOTS of work to do. I just still am in amazement at how long Catholic weddings our. Beautiful what I caught, but long:) Then the fun began. The get away vehicle wouldn't start. Below a picture of the men trying to get it going and then their off!

Eventually it started and off they went. They were so cute in there. The reception was about 20 miles away. (the pictures above are on our way) Somewhere in the middle of no where, was a trailer park that was so nasty i wouldn't let my dogs even go near. I wanted to take a picture but feared being hit was a slew of beer bottles.

But coming in to town we noticed lots of smoke. Once in the reception we heard the fire trucks going and here was a fire that got out of hand. It was within a football field of getting the first house in town!!

So the fun part. The bride is Polish so they had about 1 1/2 of polka music. (sorry but that is some kind of music, i think I'd rather listen to rap) They did this great wedding march. It was very entertaining, even the kids were in awe.

After that we got to eat. WE were lucky b/c we were the first table to eat after the wedding party. There were lots of kids there right around C'mans age. This little boy is the grooms nephew and i think he's the cutest kid EVER!!

Then his sister is also the most adorable little girl. She is the grooms special little niece. The bond these two have is pretty neat. Every chance she got she was with the groom.

Outside of the actual eating there were kids running around non stop. Every time I'd run around in a panic looking for C'man the bar 'men' would hand me another drink. After one particular panic i grabbed a drink only to return and request more alcohol please. I turned around and a couple older people were just laughing their heads off. But i was in severe distress. While there were people outside it didn't mean they'd necessarily be watching my kid. And with so many people he could hide so quickly. Before you start thinking whatever, I'd only had about 4 Fuzzy Navels and for as much running around as I did, I didn't feel like I had any alcohol in me.

The $1 dance is always fun. Do you all know what that is or is that a Midwest thing only?? Someone gave C'man a $1 and he was so ticked to dance with the bride. He wanted his $1 back tho so he could do it again.

I put in my $20 for a nice long dance with the groom. We talked about wondering if this day would ever come for him and he said 'you know, in my heart I thought this would eventually come, but in the back of my head i wondered if it actually would' and I walked away thinking i felt the same way about infertility.

Some pictures of the bouquet and garter toss:

Some kissin going on:

Eventually we had to leave b/c C'man had worn out his trips to the van to have a couple words, or as my friend calls it 'getting jacked up'. With 2 screaming kids we put them in there pj's and headed back. It would have been nicer to stay longer, or not to even have the kids, but we made do. It was great seeing all the Chvala's b/c it seems that weddings, and one funeral, are the only times we see everyone. They are a GREAT/WONDERFUL family 6 kids in 7 years!

All in all it was a fun weekend. It was truly a wedding to celebrate. These 2 are meant for one another. They seem to have it all together and I truly wish them the best of best. t

All in a days work

This AM we were up and ready to check cows by 8AM. We're calving right now. A couple times a day DH goes out to make sure all is OK. It seems every year he ends up having to go arm pit dip inside a cow and pull a calf out. Yummy eh?? WE found one new calf today and lots of cute babies. One calf died yesterday after it drowned in the creek. I really get disgusted when i hear about things like this that could have been prevented had DH, or his dad, just taken some time to check on them all. DH had to work at the post office yesterday otherwise he's probably had caught the calf. But they also tell me that's just part of the process.

At any rate, i captured on video the entire process from loading the kids up to checking on the cows. Let me know if you'd like to see that.

This afternoon we are leaving for Columbus NE where our really good friend is getting married. We are so happy for him and his wife. They both are in there mid to late 30's, never married, no kids, just no baggage of past relationships. They aren't shacking up and having the traditional Catholic wedding. It's been a long time since I've been to a traditional wedding. WE couldn't be happier. I will post pictures come Monday, of the big event.

I'm rather stressed about how the kids will do but I'm sure will make it thru, with or without my sanity. I was planning on putting them down for naps by 11 today. That won't be a problem b/c Miss A fell asleep on my lap while I talked on the phone to a friend of mine. (SK that would be you, so good to talk to you:)) So it's 1030 and she's sleeping already. C'man just came home from hanging out with DH and I'll get him ready too here shortly.

What are your plans for the weekend? Or what did you do this weekend? The weather here is going to be in the mid to upper 60's. It's about dang time!!

Seeing Green

The big day has come. The tractor and planter are here. The tractor came from somewhere in Nebraska and the planter from around here. After haircuts Tuesday night we went to see the tractor. Goll now don't I sound like a red neck...an outing to see the tractor, sounds like i should be saying I need to run to the out house a minute. Really tho, if you're reading this an not familiar with the entire farming and think I'm some red neck chick allow me just to say that everything, well most of it, all starts with the farmer. And actually now days it's not only what you eat but how you fuel you're car!! (right Larry) I'm really hoping and thinking that planting should go much faster this year. A new tractor and a 12 row planter should cut there planting time in half. Now if it would ever warm up. All of this being said C'man got to go with DH to get the tractor. It was at a local (45 min drive by car) implement getting all the computer stuff set up on it. They then had to drive it home. 2 hrs later they pulled in to the driveway and I'm going to see if i can upload the video. C'man was just THRILLED.
Watch the video before you read all of this next part. So anyway, watching my little boy stretch, climb out of the tractor, covered in Doritos, just made my heart skip a couple beats. Isn’t he just such a big boy. He really is such a blessing to not only us, but everyone who’s life he comes in to. I thank God every day for him and his birth mom. I don’t think a week goes by that I don’t think and wonder about how she’s doing and thank her so much for the beautiful life she gave us. He makes us laugh so hard we cry. He has a great personality, so easy going. He plays by himself so nicely and all his toys have names of people that are in his life. He asks about his g'parents all the time and wonders where they are. He wonders if JoJo will be at G'pa and G'ma's and thinks Jesus lives where my sister lives. He talked for about 1 week straight about cousin mEEEgan and thinks every blue pickup is Uncle David coming (v is silent). He has to feed the cows and gather the eggs and thinks the chickens are wiping there feet b/c they are dirty. He’ll ask where Maxine is but remembers she went to the doc to get better and that’s heaven. He says his prayers so sweetly that I just want to cry. He thanks Jesus for so many of you by name. But one night I asked if he loved me and he said no. He wasn’t loving anyone, when I finally asked who he loves he said ‘JoJo and Uncle Danny’. He thinks democrats are ewww and publicans are yeah….he preaches like a politician and bats those big blue eyes promising the world. Children sermons are filled with stories from him often about how mommy turns off the TV and that he has a MooMoo that he sleeps with. He’s concerned about his sister even tho some days he asks me to put her to bed. I wish you all lived closer b/c I’m sure he’d have a story about you too!! Miss A is quite the little farmer too. She loves the tractor so much that the night we went to see it she clung to the steering wheel so tight DH had to peal her hands off. When he came home with it yesterday she stood by the window and just stared at it in aww. I’m sure when she starts talking she’ll have lots of funny things to tell us too. Although I’m thinking she’ll be quieter then C'man (stop the yeah right look who her momma is) I think she’ll run the campaigns for C'man and make sure everyone is doing just what she wants them too. good for you all if you stuck with me to the end of this. I'll climb off my soapbox now. A guy is coming to fix our dishwasher that was part of a recall and i got medicine for my cold and it's tearin my gut up. Oh and i just have to add ONE MORE thing.....tomorrow we leave for the weekend. Our dear friend is GETTING MARRIED!! I'm so excited and happy for him. I'll tell you why in another post!!
