Holy moly

is it EVER windy out! Sustained winds of at least 35 mph with up to 50 mph! I kid you not the house shakes when the wind blows and for this old, sturdy house, that's a mighty powerful wind! Yesterday was 45+ degrees!! Today is 5 degrees!! This is why we tell everyone if you don't like the weather, wait 24 hours. So here's pictures of yesterday and how much of the snow we got a week ago, has melted!

With the nice weather we were all outside by 830 AM sledding! I scooped ice off the driveway in a sweatshirt and we even had a nice rain! It felt like Spring out. Not today. I'm not even going outside today! AND it's freezing in our house with this NW wind.

Ok, so maybe i don't have any blog readers....Hmmmm what am I going to do about that. I know maybe I'll give away a PURSE!! Would ya'll like that?? or an Opera Wallet?? Maybe with a little money in it, oh wait that's bribery....hmmm

The weather outside is....

frightfully cold. I know I need to blog about something other then how freakin cold it is. But here are some pics. To cold to open the window so i took this through the screen. To think a couple months earlier it was so hot we couldn't stand to be out on the swing set. I bet the swing set wonders too what happened:

One more URGENT matter

Our kids ear thermometer is stuck on Celsius...can someone tell me what i need to do to change it? I've tried holding the on/off button down, etc OR if someone can tell me what 98.7 Fahrenheit is in Celsius, I'd be much appreciative!!

Thoughts right now...

-There is about 9-10 inches of fluffy white snow outside, I'm wondering if it'll be gone my April
-It's dang COLD, tomorrow is supposed to be colder....what the HECK hurry up Spring
-I let C'man go to bed with NO diaper! He's sleeping in the buff! Towels tho are underneath him. Will see what happens
-I need to find a babysitter for Saturday
-Wondering if DH will go away this weekend, his dad fell on the ice last night. Very soar he is
-Should i try and go work out later this afternoon?? It's cold, snowy and yeah just plain COLD
-3 years ago C'man and I were in New Jersey visiting Laura!! C'man was only 5 weeks old!
-Why do I like facebook so much?? Does anyone have a facebook account???
-Why when I bake cookies are they ALWAYS FLAT!! Please shed some light to me on this one. It's driving me nuts!!
-The View, that whacked out TV show with that crazy Meredith?? is that her name....Gosh someone get her OFF!! She is a nut and drives me nuts. Why do i watch that show...they just all gang up on Elizabeth. I feel REALLY bad for her. I don't think I would have came back from maternity leave.

Cake for Breakfast??

I've been meaning to post about this but it seems other things are on the front burner of my mind. But not right now, being that i just downloaded pictures of the incident. So about a week ago I heard C'man get out of bed. DH told him to get back in bed and we thought he did. Pretty soon I heard him slinking down the stairs. Thinking that as soon as he sees no one is down there he'll come back upstairs. Well I'm not sure how much time passed but I thought I'd better get down there and see what he's up to. This is what i found:

How could i NOT laugh!!

This chair I tell you what. I causes more grief in my life. They both use this to climb up on to everything! DH and I are both over 6' tall so we have taller then average counters. Had he not hauled this chair out we may not have had this happen:) Of course the cake dropped on the floor and when i walked in the door way he told me 'I make no mess mommy, i clean up'The cake pan!!
I think he enjoyed himself. He ate only the frosting off and left the rest.

OK and now I'll try and post a video of it all too:)

Brrr

I love Iowa!! It was 6 degrees this AM when the kids and I headed to the bank! But first let me tell you about the weekend. Miss A woke up @ 230AM on Friday and threw up!! I figured that was the end of my weekend away. I cleaned her up, DH took the bedding off, and by 3 everyone was back in bed (i did NOT do laundry this time, wasn't that bad). She didn't wake up till after 7 then on Saturday. Called my parents and said well i guess they won't be coming. Miss A ate her breakfast and seemed 'normal' so i was like now what??

DH said 'go, I'll stay home with them' to which i replied 'no I'll never hear the end of it'. But i went. I was able to get a hotel room for $35! and Miss A seemed fine. I left @ 11 on Saturday and got home yesterday @ 3. It was a very nice time. I didn't even feel guilty. Once i got going the guilt went away. I think b/c they were home with DH I really wasn't worried at all. BFF and I shopped, ate, shopped, drank wine, talked, shopped, see a pattern here:) We got back to our room @ 945 with cheesecake from the 'Cheesecake Factory' and ate that and drank wine coolers and wine. We blabbered, well i did, BFF was passed out while i talked and at midnight we went to bed only to find ourselves awake. So we talked about nothing some more:) It was divine till @ 230 the kid upstairs woke me up. Gosh darn it I go away for the weekend and i STILL am awakened during the night. But it didn't last to long.

We shopped some more yesterday of which my BFF is like the queen of bargains. I can make a full round in a store and she's not even a 1/4 of the way around!! Wow!! She can spot the clearance racks from the parking lot I swear. I like to look at the clearance stuff but i rarely find things. I'm to tall, my arms are to long, my guyt is to big, you get the picture:)

So yeah, here i am at home. Kids are napping and tonight is night #2 of circuit training. I didn't find shoes this weekend but got some cute workout clothes. DH has not said anything about me going away for the weekend, accept he's wondering when his weekend away it. I say he gets to go away every day and very soon will be in the fields and i'll be lucky to see him before i go to bed!

Yes, so very cold here but as i told C'man this AM when he asked if he could go swimming? Very soon!! like FOUR months. Yeah i know depressing but really Spring is coming!

Whiz sitting down please

Lovely title eh?? So my BFF was here this AM and her DS, he's 6 months older then C'man, anyway prior to eating lunch we had a potty break. He INSISTS on standing up. I'm so grossed out by that b/c i know grown men can't pee straight how can little boys?? So C'ma SITS and Dean says 'I don't sit!!' to which i replied 'You do at my house!!' and he says 'No like this...' He whizzed all over the place!! I was freaking out!!

So yes, I am now washing in very hot water the towels and basket lining that he hit. In addition i scrubbed, on my hands and knees, the bathroom floor with bleach!!

OK I'll stop now. See why i love my new vacuum. I hate dirty floors. Oh and i haven't said this yet but DH and I are joining the local fitness center. Tonight I start circuit training!! I'll be one hurtin hoochie tomorrow!! That is part of my New Years Resolutions is to start working out! For some reason i don't think I'll ever get that post done!

A New Vacuum

Yes I'm excited. DH got me a new vacuum. Why the excitement? I'm OCD with my vacuum. If i could I'd have it permanently attached to me when i walk from room to room. Ask DH and he probably says it seems it is permanently attached. I haven't seen it yet but I sent him to the city with the two i have. They are Rikars, the pimp daddy of all vacuums! The Cadillac baby. Probably would have never gotten the first one i got had i had kids back then. Then a couple months ago I got a used one. That think SUCKS and i don't mean that literally. I have hated it from the first use. So i sent that one back with DH and the guy offered to give me $200, what i paid for it, off towards a 'new' one. My other one, the downstairs one, needed to have a tune up. BIG time!! They always ask me if i vacuum my driveway with it. I said tell him i used it at a min 1-2 times PER day! The cord was just worn out on it, the wheels had broken (well the metal piece that holds them together of which i taped together) and lets see....i think the cord was the big thing. I'm lucky i never got electrocuted!

DH called and said he got me a new one. I'm not even going to ask how much it was/is. I don't need to know b/c I'll have a flippin cow. Right now, and for once, I'm going to revel in it and just relax, i deserve it right!? I have a feeling tho it's going to come with some rules....I think they'll be:
No using it while DH is home
It has to be put away after every use
You may think those should be no problem. Well if i don't vacuum first thing in the AM i go insane and it's part of our decoration to have it out all the time. My BFF says i just don't think twice any more about seeing a vacuum out at your house....its just always there...it's part of who you are:)

So yeah I'll post pics as soon as i see it:) Can you believe i have an entire post about a VACUUM!! See they are very important to me!

Oh on the political front....disappointed in Huckabees 3rd finish but it was what was expected. I have some more thoughts on the entire Hillary and Obama deal that i will post another time. Very interesting, and scary!

Tell me, if anything, are you obsessive about? Can't do anything else till you do this one thing???

More pukes

yeah this farm house is puking too i think! After FINALLY falling asleep @ 215 AM i woke up to C'man puking. Lovely, just lovely. So at 230AM i was doing laundry, moping the floor, etc. But DH, let me tell you if he ever had to get up and move within .5 seconds he'd never make it. Before he can put one foot out of bed he has to: figure out where he is, what is happening, where his glasses are and then he has to sit on the edge of the bed and further collect his thoughts. I really am giggling while i type this. HE just can not get up and go. Wow!! Then as he walks in to C's room I'm telling him, no yelling, that he's standing in the vomit!! Lovely just lovely! So yeah it was an eventful 20 min but after that we all settled in to our bed of which NEVER works out. C'man insists on snuggling right up next to me. No matter how many attempts i made to skootch him over he'd be right next to me. Eventually I tucked him back in to his own bed with the bucket right there.

WE all didn't wake up till 730. At which point i felt miserable. I think last night's Caucuses were to much for me. I couldn't fall asleep for nothing, tried a hot shower, Tylenol PM and then immediately after C's incident my mind was cleared of everything but him. Isn't it amazing how your mind works.

I just took a snoozer on the couch as my head is killing and my entire body is just throbbing. Kids are napping for what i hope is a very long time! DH is heading to the city to make a SAMS run. Laying low the rest of today and this weekend. Bland diets for everyone. For lunch C wanted 'orange peaches' I froze fresh peaches this past summer and well, they aren't very peachy looking now.

Caucuses

So here i am, all done with the Caucuses for a couple years. It was quite the experience! Huckabee won our county AND the state! So I'm happy about that. Although my DH just pointed out to me that Huckabee is missing a tooth or something and it's driving him nuts. LOL now wouldn't that sound like something I'd say??

It was a little crazy tho trying to get in the door, registered and then finding a seat. Not to mention I had to begin my collection process of signatures of which I should have brought more with me, but I didn't know how many i needed. I was nominated as precinct secretary and one of two delegates to go down to Des Moines. I have to ask DH what i was nominated for b/c i was flying around and not able to fully understand what was being announced b/c i was still on the last thing. I took on the job of reading everyones names from our townships that signed in. Well we just happen to be the largest precinct there with some very interesting names. Like Shilter...or something like that...I pronounced it like SHITler!! Yeah, not right but good grief I'm not originally from the area and those Irish names got me. Better then the Dutch names from my neck of the woods. Therefore after reading the names and being nominated by others for the positions, people asked me so what's your name? Or where do you live?? I think it was pretty obvious I wasn't from the area. Oh well I didn't let it get to me and just laughed it off.

It was a fun night and I'm please with the outcome. I'm equally pleased to see Hillary in 3rd place as of a couple minutes ago. I worry at any democrat being in office but most of all her. HOWEVER I do think if she'd win the nomination the Republicans would have the best chance at taking her out.

Well folks....if these last two posts didn't stir up some controversy I'm not sure what will. Politics and Religion they say are two subjects to avoid. BUT if you feel strongly about both, of which I do, I'm going to talk about them. If you don't like it then I advice you find another blog to read:) (Well of course i don't want you to)

I promise one of these days I'll post about my New Years resolutions. Not that they are exciting but I do have some!

Yuck Yuck and more yuck

Mr C'man puked all over me!! He didn't want to eat his pizza and after trying to get him to take a few bites he whimpered about his chest hurting him. I thought maybe similar to that feeling of a piece of food going down the wrong pipe. He wanted to eat grapes so we let him. Then he wanted me to hold him and yeah....then it happened. I'm not kidding he had to have puked a 1/2 gal of puke!! All on me and just just on my shirt but IN IT!! It just kept coming and coming and COMING!! I screamed to DH who was in the other room and off to the bathroom i took him. I took my pants off and that was it. I got in the shower WITH my sweat shirt on. (did i tell you it was a HOODED sweatshirt so getting it off was horrible) I asked DH to just get a scissors and cut it off of me!!

The drain was filled with grapes. Just horrible. I'll stop here but let me just say that thru it all C'man manage to hold on to a grape and actually wanted to eat it! I have since washed our clothes twice and wonder if I'll ever be able to wear that bra and sweatshirt again. I wonder if the next time I'll find a grape in the pocket???

No more 'burps' as C'man called it and he seemed to be himself. He does have seem to have a high tolerance for pain so who knows what will come. But the bucket is beside his bed and i told DH he'll have to sleep in his room tonight.

On a positive note, Miss A slept 4 hrs this afternoon!! She was quite pleasant to be around this evening!!
