The last 48 hours

It's been CRAZZZY around here and it's only going to get worse (all in a good way tho). Since my last post C'man got sick. Monday night he lay on the couch with DH when he said 'oh I have a baby in my tummy' to which we said WHAT??? 'yeah he says baby kittens'. LOL! Well I'm thinking now, hindsight thing going on, that his tummy must have been gurgling getting ready for what was to come. Before I go to bed I do a last tucking in of everyone. I found C'man laying in a pile, and i mean a PILE, of puke. I will NEVER eat or look at the pasta bake things from Pizza Hut the same again. I'll spare you all the details.

That was the only time he was sick but continued to run a fever. He is still coughing like crazy, like he's hackin up a hairball. I'm like good grief kid get it up and out! Tuesday we did all go outside, etc Both kids got to take a ride with DH while he spread fertilizer on the hay fields. I have a video I can post.

Last night (Tuesday) was my monthly Central Committee Meeting. I really enjoyed it. We had a variety of 'men' there running for different offices. One of them being State Central Committee of which my dad has been on and not running for reelection. I had the opportunity to represent one of they guys running. However a gentleman by the name of Ted Spoar who also is on the SCC. He ended up talking for quite some time about the condition the Republican party is in IA, which is not good. But anyway he was so entertaining to listen too. He ended up 'endorsing' if you want to call it that, the gentleman I was representing and another one running for re-election. He was a hard 'act' to follow, so i said very little which was just fine too. Ted has a blog too, haven't had much time to read it but if you're in to politics it's a sure one to check out. It is http://therealsporer.blogspot.com/

In addition Steve Rathje was there and he's running against Harkin. I'm not sure what I think of him. He spoke like he'd given this speech 1001 times. Which, I'm sure he has. But to me he seemed like a 'typical politician'. I didn't feel connected to him. That being said, he's running a hard battle and we need to get Harkin out of there. I will throw my support behind him for that reason. I think i should probably do more research on the guy but as of right now, i wasn't real impressed. Per another important person in my life, they felt the same that I did.

So yeah, I didn't get home till after 9 pm and had to make an egg dish for MOPS today. (http://www.mops.org/) Finally by 1030 i was able to get to sleep. No more pukes either!!

Today (Wednesday) was MOPS in the AM. C'man stayed home with DH. They rode in the tractor ALL AM. But this AM when i went upstairs to get C'man he said to me 'i have to go see Jo-Jo' I said oh sweetie, do you think JoJo will make you feel better??

He then said I have to go to 'kankato' (mankato) and watch the Hockey." I tried to tell him she's playing V-ball now but he wasn't liking that.

Anyway, this afternoon the men, took two this time, came to fix my dishwasher. I tell you what!! I'm so sick of washing dishes by hand. That's for the BIRDS!! They called me while I was out walking. Which was divine. I walked 30 min while i talked to my FFS. It was just perfect weather out and so fun walking and talking, although i was like gasping for air and the road was rather busy. I said to her you know i better never hear how come two women have to use the restroom together, b/c i have 2 men in there now putting a new door on my dishwasher' Seriously tho, i see so many time where it takes 2+men to do the job one can!? Just me???

Speaking of jobs. We started tearing up the large piece of cement where a corn crib once stood (thank you WIND for taking that thing out, to bad it's taken us like 3 years to finish cleaning it up) So yesterday DH and I worked on that. There is a lot of great dirt out there that we will be using to landscape around the house. Anyway i decided to start filling in along the driveway. Awhile back we had a water leak and in trying to find it, we had to do some major digging. We actually thought it was under the driveway. But it wasn't (a garden hose was left on!!!) But we won't go any further then that on that subject.

I don't mind working hard. I detaseled for one summer, that's hard and hot work. I don't mind getting down and dirty, etc BUT do not expect me to camp. I'll camp if it's a camper with shower,(no thanks for the public ones, you know what could be all over that floor??) oven, (don't like fires b/c they make me stink) however I'd prefer delivery with plastic plates for easy clean up. I'll discuss further in another post.

We've been needing to fill in where it dug and i took the challenge on. Here's some pictures:

Thinking there HAS to be an easier way then lugging that big and heavy bucket i got the wagon. It still was hard dumping it but from the next picture you can see i made some progress.

C'man awake and wanting to help. 'He said after one scoop, "This is hard work" 'r's are silent. I'm like yeah i KNOW!

AT this point I'm thinking wonder what it would take for me to learn to drive that tractor. I'd be a lot further then i am now!!

OK now I'm done!! My back is killing me, the sun has gone away, I'm cold and you know what DH probably won't like how i did it. While I laid on the ground the cat 'apple' was playing so cute.

This is as good as it'll get and judging from the horrible weather forecast they predict, I'm thinking this will all be washed away by Monday and I'll have totally wasted my time.

Screw it folks. I'm done:) Now the cute cat and kitten:

Aww the cat's life

C'man would roll that ball and the cat would chase it.
C'man with one of the new kittens. Telling me 'oh so cute'
Don't you just love this hat!!

Miss A was sleeping during this entire time but here's a couple pics of her from this past weekend:

I've got to go work on something for supper. Any ideas???

Wedding

This weekend was the big wedding of our dear friend. I've already posted about them so let me jump in and start the play by play of the BIG day. This will be a long post. Grab a beer, tea, water, whatever and come on in, relax and read on:)
We left our home around 230, right as planned. Well i guess it was closer to 245 b/c we spent that long trying to get one stupid cat out of our garage. (to which it won) After DH stopped to pay a bill in town, and I ran in to Caseys for a soda, i realized that I'd forgotten the wedding gift. So we hauled butt home where I ran in, got it and set forth again.

The ride to Columbus Nebraska was uneventful. The kids were great and C'man wore underwear the entire trip with no accidents. But i must say I can tell when I'm in Nebraska. The area we were in was quite a bit hillier then typical Nebraska but it just felt deserty (probably not a word) to us. There was lots of dust, some flatness, just felt 'hicky' sorry NE friends (BFFE). I'm sure others feel the same way about Iowa. We'd be in b/w towns and there would be 35+ miles before we'd hit another town. That being said, I did go to college in Nebraska and I'm going to have a post about that b/c we went thru the town. (DH went to college here too)

We quickly settled in to our room before heading for the rehearsal. Side note on the hotel, in the future we will get a suite. 2 double beds and a pack'n'play leaves NO room for anything. All I did for the rehearsal was eat:) Well and chase kids which became the #1 thing I did all weekend. After that the kids and I left to go back to the hotel. I took them swimming but Miss A wanted nothing to do with the water. I took her out of her swimsuit when i realized she was burning up. During the course of the next 10 hours her fever got up to 104!! I had to call DH and have him pick up Tylenol (couldn't find the one i packed) and a thermometer. We waited and waited for him. Most of the night was spent with her whimpering on and off. Finally at 530 I brought her in bed with me and she was just a furnace. I'm thinking that was when her fever 'broke'.

Saturday AM was up and at em as DH had to be at the grooms house at 830! The wedding started at 2. The kids and I hung out, I let C'man go swimming again. He has this great life jacket so he can be in alone, of course I'm sitting nearby. Miss A and I watched him swim and swim. Then being the great kids they are, they went right down for naps. There i sat wondering what I was going to do while they napped. I called my mom, out in the hallway, before coming back and sitting on a desk with my book up to the window so I could read. Those hotels sure have dark shades.

The wedding, well it was a Catholic wedding, so it was LONG. Oh my...we didn't last past the bride walking down the aisle. We retreated to the back row then out in the entry way. It was a beautiful church and was full of people. The 3 ushers had LOTS of work to do. I just still am in amazement at how long Catholic weddings our. Beautiful what I caught, but long:) Then the fun began. The get away vehicle wouldn't start. Below a picture of the men trying to get it going and then their off!

Eventually it started and off they went. They were so cute in there. The reception was about 20 miles away. (the pictures above are on our way) Somewhere in the middle of no where, was a trailer park that was so nasty i wouldn't let my dogs even go near. I wanted to take a picture but feared being hit was a slew of beer bottles.

But coming in to town we noticed lots of smoke. Once in the reception we heard the fire trucks going and here was a fire that got out of hand. It was within a football field of getting the first house in town!!

So the fun part. The bride is Polish so they had about 1 1/2 of polka music. (sorry but that is some kind of music, i think I'd rather listen to rap) They did this great wedding march. It was very entertaining, even the kids were in awe.

After that we got to eat. WE were lucky b/c we were the first table to eat after the wedding party. There were lots of kids there right around C'mans age. This little boy is the grooms nephew and i think he's the cutest kid EVER!!

Then his sister is also the most adorable little girl. She is the grooms special little niece. The bond these two have is pretty neat. Every chance she got she was with the groom.

Outside of the actual eating there were kids running around non stop. Every time I'd run around in a panic looking for C'man the bar 'men' would hand me another drink. After one particular panic i grabbed a drink only to return and request more alcohol please. I turned around and a couple older people were just laughing their heads off. But i was in severe distress. While there were people outside it didn't mean they'd necessarily be watching my kid. And with so many people he could hide so quickly. Before you start thinking whatever, I'd only had about 4 Fuzzy Navels and for as much running around as I did, I didn't feel like I had any alcohol in me.

The $1 dance is always fun. Do you all know what that is or is that a Midwest thing only?? Someone gave C'man a $1 and he was so ticked to dance with the bride. He wanted his $1 back tho so he could do it again.

I put in my $20 for a nice long dance with the groom. We talked about wondering if this day would ever come for him and he said 'you know, in my heart I thought this would eventually come, but in the back of my head i wondered if it actually would' and I walked away thinking i felt the same way about infertility.

Some pictures of the bouquet and garter toss:

Some kissin going on:

Eventually we had to leave b/c C'man had worn out his trips to the van to have a couple words, or as my friend calls it 'getting jacked up'. With 2 screaming kids we put them in there pj's and headed back. It would have been nicer to stay longer, or not to even have the kids, but we made do. It was great seeing all the Chvala's b/c it seems that weddings, and one funeral, are the only times we see everyone. They are a GREAT/WONDERFUL family 6 kids in 7 years!

All in all it was a fun weekend. It was truly a wedding to celebrate. These 2 are meant for one another. They seem to have it all together and I truly wish them the best of best. t

All in a days work

This AM we were up and ready to check cows by 8AM. We're calving right now. A couple times a day DH goes out to make sure all is OK. It seems every year he ends up having to go arm pit dip inside a cow and pull a calf out. Yummy eh?? WE found one new calf today and lots of cute babies. One calf died yesterday after it drowned in the creek. I really get disgusted when i hear about things like this that could have been prevented had DH, or his dad, just taken some time to check on them all. DH had to work at the post office yesterday otherwise he's probably had caught the calf. But they also tell me that's just part of the process.

At any rate, i captured on video the entire process from loading the kids up to checking on the cows. Let me know if you'd like to see that.

This afternoon we are leaving for Columbus NE where our really good friend is getting married. We are so happy for him and his wife. They both are in there mid to late 30's, never married, no kids, just no baggage of past relationships. They aren't shacking up and having the traditional Catholic wedding. It's been a long time since I've been to a traditional wedding. WE couldn't be happier. I will post pictures come Monday, of the big event.

I'm rather stressed about how the kids will do but I'm sure will make it thru, with or without my sanity. I was planning on putting them down for naps by 11 today. That won't be a problem b/c Miss A fell asleep on my lap while I talked on the phone to a friend of mine. (SK that would be you, so good to talk to you:)) So it's 1030 and she's sleeping already. C'man just came home from hanging out with DH and I'll get him ready too here shortly.

What are your plans for the weekend? Or what did you do this weekend? The weather here is going to be in the mid to upper 60's. It's about dang time!!

Seeing Green

The big day has come. The tractor and planter are here. The tractor came from somewhere in Nebraska and the planter from around here. After haircuts Tuesday night we went to see the tractor. Goll now don't I sound like a red neck...an outing to see the tractor, sounds like i should be saying I need to run to the out house a minute. Really tho, if you're reading this an not familiar with the entire farming and think I'm some red neck chick allow me just to say that everything, well most of it, all starts with the farmer. And actually now days it's not only what you eat but how you fuel you're car!! (right Larry) I'm really hoping and thinking that planting should go much faster this year. A new tractor and a 12 row planter should cut there planting time in half. Now if it would ever warm up. All of this being said C'man got to go with DH to get the tractor. It was at a local (45 min drive by car) implement getting all the computer stuff set up on it. They then had to drive it home. 2 hrs later they pulled in to the driveway and I'm going to see if i can upload the video. C'man was just THRILLED.
Watch the video before you read all of this next part. So anyway, watching my little boy stretch, climb out of the tractor, covered in Doritos, just made my heart skip a couple beats. Isn’t he just such a big boy. He really is such a blessing to not only us, but everyone who’s life he comes in to. I thank God every day for him and his birth mom. I don’t think a week goes by that I don’t think and wonder about how she’s doing and thank her so much for the beautiful life she gave us. He makes us laugh so hard we cry. He has a great personality, so easy going. He plays by himself so nicely and all his toys have names of people that are in his life. He asks about his g'parents all the time and wonders where they are. He wonders if JoJo will be at G'pa and G'ma's and thinks Jesus lives where my sister lives. He talked for about 1 week straight about cousin mEEEgan and thinks every blue pickup is Uncle David coming (v is silent). He has to feed the cows and gather the eggs and thinks the chickens are wiping there feet b/c they are dirty. He’ll ask where Maxine is but remembers she went to the doc to get better and that’s heaven. He says his prayers so sweetly that I just want to cry. He thanks Jesus for so many of you by name. But one night I asked if he loved me and he said no. He wasn’t loving anyone, when I finally asked who he loves he said ‘JoJo and Uncle Danny’. He thinks democrats are ewww and publicans are yeah….he preaches like a politician and bats those big blue eyes promising the world. Children sermons are filled with stories from him often about how mommy turns off the TV and that he has a MooMoo that he sleeps with. He’s concerned about his sister even tho some days he asks me to put her to bed. I wish you all lived closer b/c I’m sure he’d have a story about you too!! Miss A is quite the little farmer too. She loves the tractor so much that the night we went to see it she clung to the steering wheel so tight DH had to peal her hands off. When he came home with it yesterday she stood by the window and just stared at it in aww. I’m sure when she starts talking she’ll have lots of funny things to tell us too. Although I’m thinking she’ll be quieter then C'man (stop the yeah right look who her momma is) I think she’ll run the campaigns for C'man and make sure everyone is doing just what she wants them too. good for you all if you stuck with me to the end of this. I'll climb off my soapbox now. A guy is coming to fix our dishwasher that was part of a recall and i got medicine for my cold and it's tearin my gut up. Oh and i just have to add ONE MORE thing.....tomorrow we leave for the weekend. Our dear friend is GETTING MARRIED!! I'm so excited and happy for him. I'll tell you why in another post!!

Still sick

I think it's been over 2 weeks that i've been battling this cold. It's time to head to the doc. I've heard, been told, that if it's over 1 - 1/2 weeks it's no longer 'just a cold'. I feel like crap. My head hurts, my teeth hurt b/c my sinuses hurt, and i'm sick of blowing my nose all the time. My MIL will be stopping over in a few minutes allowing me to run up to Sioux City unaccompanied by kids. I'm going to CuraQuick which is located in a super market. Do any of you have these? No appt needed and you literally pop in and pop out. $45, no insurance accepted. And NOW with the $5 prescription plan for generic meds, i'm thinking this sounds just BEAUTIFUL!! Seriously i'd rather pay out of pocket and get in and out, then pay my old co-pay of $30 and wait and wait. Does anyone else feel that way?

We have a wedding this weekend that will have to drive aways to get to and stay over 2 nites. I really don't want to be sick. I'm also praying knowone else gets sick. It's been over 1 week that we all were exposed to the flu.

I woke up to a dusting of snow too this AM. I had to laugh at my snow post a week ago. I labeled the title SNOW?? like DUH that's actually a question?? Why didn't I just label it SNOW....at any rate it since is gone but i ugged (is that even a word?) so loud when i saw it that C'man asked what was wrong. Gosh darn i wish the snow was gone and it was Spring.

April fools day today. Anyone April fool anyone?? I don't like being fooled. I used to love tricking people. I can remember telling my sister one April Fools day that there was a stray puppy at our door. IT was early Sunday AM so she had to get out of bed to come see it. Well when i said April Fool as she stood looking out the door, she wasn't very happy with me. In fact i think she might have pounded me. So yeah I don't do it any more. I don't have any idea on how to fool someone. I could tell you all i'm pregnant, but having been thru what I have, i just don't feel that's even funny. HAve you fooled anyone today? ever? what did you do? Indulge us.

Divine Day

Today I got to go shopping with NO kids!! AND my friend S got to join me, with none of her kids either!! She has 3, including a 4 month old. It was divine!! We left @ 130, stopped and got coffee and gleefully pareded in to Walmart. As much as I DESPISE that place it wasn't near as bad with a friend and a mocha!! My mission, fabric for curtains in C'mans room. I'm SO glad S was with me. I realized i'd forgotten the measurements of my windows and DH couldn't find the paper at home. (still can't find the darn thing, see this is why i don't make grocery lists) Then after getting the measurements (DH remembers me telling them to him) I was trying to figure out how much fabric I needed. In comes S. I SUCK at that kind of stuff. I round everything up an inch just to be safe. I can never remember how many inches in a yard, and I certainly can not caluclate anything in my head. The lady helping me?? her head was spinning. She said 'you have me so confused' to which i replied "what do you think I AM??"

We did get it, doggy pattern with a blue backing. Way to go S, she checked out the clearance fabric while the lady dealt with me. I got a dark backing for $1/yard!! It was much cheaper for me to get the fabric then to by already made ones. PLUS i was able to get something fun for a pattern. Who is sewing these you wonder?? Oh don't worry, not I my friend!! My lovely neighbor lady who said just buy the fabric it doesn't take me but one hour to make them and it'll be WAY cheaper then buying. So yes, i will call Alice tomorrow and share the good news that i have fabric just waiting for her:) I'm so excited.

Then we went to the Gap Outlet. I needed another pair of jeans SO bad. My other, and only ones, are so faded. I was so cross!! In one pair I had a size TEN (gasp) and they still were on the tight side. I stomped to the jean section and looked at the lady working there and said this can not be, i will NOT go up another size. I have this exact same style 'boot fit' at home in an eight and they are a little big. She must have seen the look of distress on my face b/c she said 'i'll be right back'. They were paging her up front. I said can't you tell them you are with a customer, and a frustrated one at that. She quickly scampered and came back with this 6'3 girl, maybe even taller. She apparently works at Gap and had just gotten off. She said she special orders hers b/c she needs a 38' inseam. She said the fabric for the jeans are cut in a triangle shape so each waist will fit differently. Try many sizes, and same sizes, of the same style till you find the right one. I did just that. The 2nd pair of the 'lean and curvy' (hahaha gotta love that) fit and they were an eight. I grabbed them and the other shirts i had and ran out. I yelled at the boy manning the changing rooms, 'sorry I left my room in a mess but I got the perfect jeans'.

We managed to get some other bargains on shirts there too. $2.90 shirts and $4.00 blouse. All good!! We left there happy women:) (BFF-E, aren't you impressed with my bargains)

Had a wonderful time just the two of us. No need to worry a/b feeding the baby, buckling kids in, potty breaks, ripping clothes off the rack, screaming, fighting, oh man it was BLISS!! I think it refueled both of us for the week ahead. This might have to happen at LEAST once/month.

At any rate, that was the low down for today. Yesterday I had a purse party and it was GREAT!! The hostess is one hell of a hostess. I recommend she start a blog about entertaining b/c boy can she do it. What a spread of food she had and just tons of ladies. It was really crazy in her house. The kids had fun with my parents although i think they wore them out. We got home early evening on saturday. There was a dead cat laying on the hwy by our mailbox. How lovely. I was scared to see which one it was. BUT it was a stray TOM so not one of ours. But still, DH moved it last night. Oh on the way home I just a/b hit a cat. Stupid thing. I had to slam the breaks on going 65+mph. the van shook, C'man said what happened?? I thought just hit the dang thing, but i didn't want to make a mess of my van. We didn't hit it! My love for cats isn't what it used to be.

Anyway, thanks for sticking with me thru this LONG post. What do you all like, shorter posts, longer? I kind of like frequent short ones. What about you??

Snow?

I tell you what. If anyone reading this wants snow? I welcome you to come visit me:) Yesterday @ 1030AM we were outside playing. Today I woke up to snow. As I type this at 1340, it's still snowing. BUT the good thing about this? It won't stay long. I suspect my Friday afternoon it'll all be gone and I hope for good! I just know that come July I'll wish for some snow to lay my hot (and not literally LOL) body in.

I think with the weather change that prompted one of our cats to have kittens. 3 white and one black. DH wants to put them in a kennel and bring them in the house b/c of the cold out there. I told him he's fricken nuts. I don't want those kittens in here AND neither does the mama. 2 screaming kids molesting them? Nope i don't think that'll fly. She'll move them the first chance she gets and then will for sure be S.O.L when we can't find them.

Here they are just a couple hours old.

Crackin us up

C'man cracks us up. I think about every 2 weeks he goes thru another language burst. The things he says. On Thursday we went to a nearby town to a kids fair. That included car seat checks, and then like a health and education fair. Man of the bldgs in this town have castle fronts, http://www.idagroveia.com/ C'man fell asleep on the way there. He got to skip nap time and hang out at G'pa and G'ma L's, note to self he can NOT go without a nap yet.

While in line to get the car seats checked (which by the way they spent 30-60min PER CAR checking them) he wakes up. His eyes pop open and he looks to the left, then right, the straight, then left again, and he's in just amazement. I think he seriously thought he was dreaming. Finally he says in a raspy voice 'Castles???' Then we said 'yes, what do you think of this". He sat in silence then says 'Airplanes?" (there were old fighter airplanes to his left) and then it's like he realizes this isn't a dream. 'WOW this is SO cool!!!!!!!!!!'.

Eventually I took the kids and DH stayed with the car seat crew and we went on to the Skate Palace where the fair was. The bldg looks just like a castle (check the website again) Both kids were just amazed. Even an armored 'dude' was standing guard. In we go and the first thing we do is a hand print. Miss A wants pink, or that's what I picked for her and what color does C'man want?? Yup Pink, i convinced him to go with the orange!! On to the other tables where really isn't a lot pertaining for us, don't need WIC, don't need state help with daycare, etc We do stop for a tattoo of which miss A wants NOTHING to do with. During our little walk around numerous times I had to look for C'man. It wasn't busy at all so he was always easy to find. Every time he was by some little girl. I think he was trying to score some candy out of her bag, but he'd proceed to tell her some kind of story. I couldn't hear of course but I'm sure it was good b/c the looks the girls would give were priceless.

Then comes the table where each kid gets a TY stuffed animal. There was a dog, pink horse and a brown teddy bear. Miss A wanted none of it. Every one i offered her she'd adamantly shake her head no. But C'man he wanted that PINK HORSE!! DH tried effortlessly to get him to take the puppy. I wanted him to take the bear. Nothing was going to convince him otherwise. Not even the little girl who had the bear. The lady reassures us that she had at least 10 other boys do the same thing. I then told DH that he wanted a pink hand print too:)

Now it's time for pizza. While waiting for the pizza to come C'man is busy with that horse, looking out the window, sleeping, etc then he looks at me and says 'I have to go talk for one minute, I'll be right back" I let him go but rather then go to the table with all the kids he goes and find a waitress. I let him talk about one minute before going to get him. He sees me and points at me and says 'mom SHHH I'm talking just 2 more minutes' So i wait all while I'm thinking he's probably telling our family secrets (LOL) Eventually I get him away and our pizza comes.

Now the last part. On the way home he says to us 'well guys, what's next??"

To tell or not to tell

Be honest. Is there anything in your life that maybe others, like family and friends, may like to know but don't?? Why am i asking this?? Well it's about this blog. Know one in my family knows about it and some times i think i should tell them, great way for them to keep up on us, but then i think no I'd best not. Might be opening a big ol' can of worms. Or some of my friends don't know about this either. Some times I think I'll tell them and then I think otherwise. Not sure if it's the idea that I may be letting them see a side of me that they may not like, agree with, or whatever. Or maybe b/c i may 'blog' about them one day. Lord knows I have a slip of the tongue sometimes, and fingers.

I do have my BFF-E and FF-L that 'know' about my blog and I'm so happy they do!! I also have some friends that stop in that while i 'know' them i don't know them personally. Various circumstances in our lives brought us together, from college to IVF, to adoption, to politics.

What do you think, do I share my blog with those that I'm in contact with more frequently? What if they don't approve, what if they think this is all stupid and nonsense, what if they use this against, or for, me:)

Now that you saw where I was going with this post, go back to the top and answer that question:) You can post comments ANONYMOUSLY so go ahead.

By they way, Carson went to the dentist yesterday FOUR FREAKIN cavities. Do I feel like bad mom of the year or WHAT!!! AND $80/cavity plus $45 for the laughing gas. I'm so mad.

Am I loosing it??

Ok, don't really answer that question, but i SWEAR I'm loosing it. In my hair!! WHAT?? you're wondering. I feel like something is crawling on my head. Ok don't freak out here friends. It's only on the one part of my head where my lovely colic causes my hair to part. Here's what i think:
A. It's dry b/c that part of my scalp is exposed to the elements and I like HOT showers.

B. I have a piece, or many, hairs that are moving, you know like when the wind blows thru your hair.

B/c my hair is short, well I guess a combo of both, I think it's my hair moving. But it's freaking me out. Why?? b/c i watched to much Discovery Health where a women had like LARVA coming out of her scalp. I'm having DH squeeze my head, shine bright lights on it and yes I have just taken a picture of my scalp to see if I can see anything. I don't know if i thought something would jump out and wave at me or what!? But DH is like STOP it's NOTHING. I'm like the heck, it's SOMETHING b/c i feel something moving. What's not helping matters is now I'm paranoid. I have made a hair appointment and hope that buy cutting my hair, shorter, it will solve the problem.

In the mean time DH keeps looking and saying things like "oh wait", or "hmmm what's this" all while i scream and whine.
Can anyone relate? Anyone have wierd feelings like this? Or watched shows and been parnoid later b/c of what you saw?? Dont' tell me you see anything either b/c I've closely examed the pictures:)

Oh lets see....

I've added pictures!!!

It's a beautiful day in Iowa. Almost 55 outside and the snow is melting oh so FAST!! To bad it looks like we're in for another active weather pattern. The first snow/rain is for Friday although that's forecasted to go more south of us. The next one, Monday evening/Tuesday. That one they are still watching. Man I'm SO ready to bid farewell to ol' man winter and HELLOOOO spring.

Waiting for C'man to wake up so we can go outside. I went and woke him up but he just grabbed his cozy blanket and rolled over. He is SO not a morning person and once he falls asleep for his nap, he's hard to wake up. Did I mention that he has his binky back too?? About 2 months ago we flushed one down the toilet. I told him if I find a binky downstairs it's going down the toilet. Well you know what happened. He tried to reach in and grab it after HE flushed it but the whirl was to fast and down it went. He cried and cried and actually I almost could have too. He loves his binkies. He's so cute with it too. So a couple weeks ago I NEEDED him to take a nap and I felt the only way i was going to accomplish that was to give him another one of his favorite binkies. He had 2 after the one we flushed but one i snipped the end of, 'it boke' he kept saying, and the other was no better then the snipped one. He wasn't going to sleep well at night either. I figured the heck with it. We were gone that weekend for my SIL's baby shower and being away from home, not to mention the ride HOME on AWFUL roads, I have him a binky. You should have seen his reaction when I pulled out 'the pink binky'. It's more like magenta, but none the less he calls it his pink binky. He was ELATED!

So now the arrangement is that it HAS to stay in his bed. He knows I'm not messing around any more since we flushed one down. He doesn't walk around all day with it, only at night. We figure that when it's time for Addie to bid farewell then he will too. BUT he also knows that he can't go to school if he still has a binky and you know what.....he could have a lot worse. He could still be on a bottle, suck his thumb, not be anywhere near being potty trained, so i just say the heck with it let him have the binky. If it makes my life easier and he goes to bed 100% better, then screw it. Speaking of going to bed, the other thing that helped was I plugged in a nightlight that only goes on if it's dark. He loves that, I love it even more.

At any rate, i have pictures i need to post of us giving the cows hay. On Sunday we all four rode in the tractor to feed the cows. It was fun. Do I have any readers out there that aren't the least bit familiar with 'farm life' (feeding the cows hay, tractors, etc) I'm curious. Don't want to share anything if it's of no interest to anyone.

Furthermore....I need more comments:) BFF-E thanks a million but where's everyone else?? Oh and tell me your remedies again for off setting a headache the day after some drinking. I'm refraining from calling it a hangover b/c i don't think that's really possible after only 3-5 mixed drinks. Is it?? our community center has our St Patricks Day Dinner and Dance Saturday Night. I'm so excited. Lots of DH's classmates and their wives are coming and we have ourselves a babysitter that we won't have to rush home by 930-10.

Thanks everyone!! do drop me a note, or 2, or 3, or 4.....

Tractor trials

Land-check

bigger planter-check

bigger tractor-check

newer van- waiting

house projects-STILL WAITING

husband-IN THE FREAKIN DOGHOUSE!!

DH ended up going today, Friday, to look at this tractor in bohick NEBRASKA (sorry BFF-E). He left @ 7AM and as of now, 1015 PM still MIA!

Him and a buddy left and have yet to come home, oh wait, here they are. THIS my friends is what irks me more then anything. Home ALL day with the kids and he gets to galavant around AND spend 10's of thousand of dollars. And here I sit waiting for a different van, things done around the house....yeah you get the idea.

I'm sure now tho maybe he'll get moving on being more dedicated to getting things done around here right?? Oh I forgot to add a CHECK behind a 40" flat screen TV. Yeah you'd think we actually had money. (tax refund was very generous this year)

Huckabee is out

Heard on the radio last night that Huckabee has dropped out of the race for Republican Presidential candidate. I guess I can't say I'm surprised, as numbers weren't looking good for him. But I really do like the man. Did anyone see him on Saturday Night Live?? Priceless. I love the mans sense of humor and his personality in general. More importantly, I agreed with the things he stood for. But McCain is the nominee and I will support him. I do like him but must become more versed in his stance on gay marriage (I really don't like using those two words in the same sentence), abortion, and illegal immigration. I'm thinking that maybe my new friend , 'Doc', might be able to shed some insight on that. Maybe he could post a comment, or two, about McCains views.

I did have my Central Committee meeting last night. We are preparing for our county convention which is this Saturday. While I'm only an alternate, and none of the delegates have called me to attend in their place, I would like to attend (and still can b/c of my involvment on the platform committee). I put a lot of hours into preparing the platform and just feel I'd like to see it thru. BUT DH has decided that Saturday is the day he'll drive to the KS/NE border to look at a tractor. (BFF-E if i didn't have so much going on, I'd had come b/c he'll be going thru York!!) Then that evening I'm selling my purses at a Dance Night for a local school. MIL said she'd watch the kids BUT I'd like to do a trial run for a babysitter that day b/c we need one for the following Saturday. In addition I think C'man as a touch of the flu so who know's who will have it by the weekend.

Speaking of C'man, yesterday while at Maxine's house with Uncle D, Papa, and Daddy, he showed up with an empty bottle of Allergy medicine. DH rushed him home, I called poison control and freaked out. This is the SECOND time C'man has gotten into things under DH's watch. I had DH talk to poison control I wasn't there when it happened I can't answer all the questions they were asking. BUT he's OK. We don't think he got any b/c he spit out the 4 he had in his mouth. But today he seems just a little out of it. DH was up all night too so we think maybe it is the flu. C'man did eat breakfast and 'Bob Bob's' (mac'n'cheese) and now is tucked in bed.

As always drama, drama and more drama!! I have lots to talk about but I'm sure this has gotten pretty long and has enough thoughts and subjects covered that I won't bring in more.
