Fall Post

HEY a post about us NOT being sick!! Accept for this, prior to all this illness crap I just had to get some pictures of the colors of fall for you all. It's not the most beautiful Fall we've had, in fact, I can't remember when he had one where the leaves all changed instead of just falling off b/c of freezing temperatures, to dry of summer, etc but this year seems to be a little brighter. Even amidst the snow fall. The day after I took these, it snowed! So without further ado:




We we pulled up to this little area there were 2 deer (see shot below) that must have been getting a drink out of the river. This this all just 2 miles from us, if even that far.

This is the tree that inspired me to grab my camera. When I would drive C'man to school I admire it's beauty. Standing so little but so strong and so vibrant. BUT the picture didn't turn out as well as i'd like with the sun behind it, but b/c I was along a busy hwy this was as good as I could get. The next day I drove by? Leaves were GONE. As in not a single one left!

This was next part of our venture. We went about 7 miles from my house to this great park, Here is a shot of the road that we take every time we go in to town.

I love this old gas station. I think it looks like something out of Department 56 Snow Village!! I want it too:) Right across the street are old war planes!

Old railroad bridge. sorry had to really zoom in as i was on the hwy and there is no way to get any closer then to go thru the field. OR down the river in which you go right under it. BUT i wouldn't recommend that. Did a canoe trip down this river and I will NEVER look at it the same. Awful. One of the worst things I did. Of course I'm sure it had nothing to do that I was going in for retrieval on #2?? IVF and was bloated like a dead fish, it was hotter then hell, and the bugs were just awful. Remember, I'm not an out door/camping kind of person and this confirmed it for not only me, but the friends we were with. (I think our one friend wanted to throw me over board. Seriously I wanted to get out and hitch hike home. Or even walk. At one point I was only 1 mile from home BUT the corn was so tall and I'd have to walk that mile in a corn field!) SOOO this bridge looks much more beautiful to me from the distance! :)

Picture Time

I've only been putting having professional pictures off for oh...a month now!? First it was to cold, then the miscarriage, Christmas, New Years, and well today finally was the day. C'man needed his 4 year pictures taken and I wanted a nice picture of the two of them in there Christmas outfits.
Why oh why can pictures just not go WONDERFUL! When C'man doesn't want to cooperate, Miss A does. Then vice versa. "What C'man? You don't want your Santa cookie? How about a .25 for the train outside??" All while I'm wondering WHY I did not spike my coffee with Kahlua.
Then Miss A does great, then all the sudden she walks off and that's the end of her. Period. When that girl is done, eating, playing, throwing a fit, etc she's DONE!! Speaking of fits, have I told you all that she can scream/throw things/etc for 30 min and then all the sudden look at me and say 'I'm done' and she is!! Just like that she shuts it OFF! Drives me nuts.
Anyway we got some good shots and spent $90. I HATE spending that much. I have so many pictures left over b/c I don't plan who's going to get what. I did better I think this time on that end. But yeah my mom wants one for her desk, dad wants one for his office and then they want one for the home. Now my MIL if I don't frame it, she doesn't get it up and it gets dusty and crusty. She too likes one to show off at the Post Office. So yeah, lots of pictures for everyone. I try to buy the same size every time so they can just replace the old with the new.
At any rate, pictures are done. I got 2 new pairs of shoes that I'm quite proud of. I'll post pictures of them. They are fun shoes, not to practical, but fun. All I get are slip in/practical shoes. I'm still saving my money tho for a pair of UGGS. Anyone that reads this from Australia by chance? I'll have to check my stat counter, but I'm thinking there is. Email me k!!
We're home, Miss A is sleeping, C'man is on the couch and tonight I'm going to a Christmas Party! I'm rather excited I'll have you know. I haven't been to an official Christmas party for years! It's with the steering team of the MOPS group I'm part of. Table leaders are invited, that's me:)
I know I have to wear my new shoes, oh but wait, all the outfits i was going to wear are black and both pairs of shoes are BROWN....oh what now.

Picture Problems

Get out of HERE!! I just had a post ready and it disappeared. GRRR So TAKE 2:

I'm having a problem with some of my pictures in that i click on say, a cute picture of the kids in the pool, and get ME looking like a dork. Anyone know what's going on? It's not all my pictures, just a/b 30 or so, but they are the cutest ones of the kids. Please help.

Then anyone know how i can reference back to a post or blog, with out listing the entire URL. I want to be able to say click here and have it take you to it. Or in what i'm going to share now from Wendi's blog i'd like to have it where you just click her name and it takes you. Oh wait!! i figured it out!! Golly darn!! OK now i have to see if it works.

At any rate please check out Wendi's blog. Her and her DH adopted a beautiful little boy and she recently found out she's pregnant. STOP right there!! Don't even think yeah that's what happens or say anything out loud to that effect. Read her post and you'll see why. I couldn't have said it any better then she did and i feel pretty darn close to the way she does.

Pictures Round One AND Two

We attempted pictures today. Note ATTEMPTED!! First attempt was at HyVee. Well Miss A was thrusting herself before we even got in the room to have them done. C'man didn't want to do much either or when he was ready the camera lady wasn't. Ahhh..the camera lady. She SUCKED and that's putting it nicely. After about 30 min of what felt like pure torture, and exhaustion, she suggested we see what we had so far and if we don't have any she'll save them and we can add to them the next time we 'try again'. So i knew heading out of the room, she didn't get any good shots. That would be NONE, Zero, ZIPPO!!! She said to me i'm so sorry i just don't feel good, i was up all night and i'm just not with it today and neither our your kids!!! EXCUSE ME??? You don't feel good so you come to work in the first place and contaminant my kids and ME and then you try to pass the buck on MY kids not being in the mood, or C'man has chapped lips. Nice try lady!!! So yeah didn't even look at them. She handed me a coupon for 3 free sheets and no sitting fee the next time. When i told her we live 40miles away i think she felt just a tad bad. What should i do?? Let it be?? complain?

So then it was out to JC Penny's. They had an opening. Mind you we had the kids out of there Christmas clothes. We ate and then got them ready. Well Miss A was her normal fussy self unless she could walk around. But C'man was in rare form. He had a blast. Posing like Mr Mini GQ!!! So we did get a 3yr old picture....his b-day is 12-13!! Oh and one pretty good one of him and A together. They seem to cooperate just a little better at Penny's. But i scheduled another appt for Monday LATE afternoon. Will try that.

In the mean time i fully intend on trying to take some myself. Will get our tree out (not REAL excited about that) and I'll put them in front of it and try it. I'd like to get something b/c it's much cheaper to order cards via snapfish then thru Penny's!! Which i won't do anyway....

Miss A has a horrible cough and it sometimes sounds like croup to me. C'man was up a lot coughing last night too. I really was seriously thinking a/b cxl my appt. I should have!
