Post Birthday

Here are pics from Miss A's Birthday party:) And no I did NOT make the cake. I wish I had that kind of talent but if it was up to me to do the cake it'd be just a plain ol cake with canned frosting:)

I put on the candles that keep coming back. It was very funny:)

C'man got a couple presents too.
The much anticipated bike!
When she is really concentrating she sticks our her tongue:)
It was a nice little party. We missed my my MIL and FIL but again thankful that BIL, SIL and niece could be a part of it. Kind of sad in a way to think that here @ 3 years old one set of g'parents is already absent and I really can't help but wonder if they'll ever be present together at another party.

Happy Birthday My Little Girl

Ahhh the memories. Three years ago I went to bed hot, tired, and very pregnant (I was HUGE while pregnant. People either thought I was going to go in to labor that moment or that I was having at least twins). I awoke a couple hours later the the beginning of labor. Something I dreamed about for years was finally becoming reality.

After trying a bath, walking around, etc I woke DH and said I think we'd better get to the hospital. To be honest, I don't think I even had a bag packed:) I wasn't technically due for another 2 weeks. Called the sitter, who at 1145pm was on her way home from a night out with the girls, and we were on our way. I'll spare you all the rest of the details but let me just say that male nurses are CLUELESS!! At 1232PM (as in, the next day!! 12 hours later,) our baby girl was born. It was an amazing moment. And really, I didn't even break a sweat. That was fine b/c the 8.5 hours prior to me getting the epidural, I sweat, puked, and well you get the idea, enough to last me a last time. (well till Memorial Day when I was puking sick again) Back on track....

So yes, our baby girl is going to be THREE tomorrow. Here are some pics:

More pictures to come after the party. Nothing real big. MIL is still gone, FIL is still in hospital with no plans of being released. My BIL and SIL are coming and my parents. That will be just fine. I'm so glad my B and SIL can come. They mean a lot to us and we are thankful they are an active part of our lives! Two of Miss A's cousins may come too. Oh and be for-warned Miss A got bit by a mosquito on the cheek bone, it caused her eye to swell. While it's looking better, as in you can almost see her lower eyelashes, it now is all bruised looking. Poor thing. Her 3 year old pictures will have that:) Such is life.
Stay tuned for more pics! I'm off to bed. I did 20 bags of corn (froze it) which was 88 ears of corn that were picked, husked, blanched, cut the corn off the cob and bagged! I have pictures:)

That Daughter of Ours

I feel like a broken record as I know I have blogged in the past about this, as well as posted things on my facebook. I'm truly at a loss of what more to do with her. She starts of her AM, very early i may add, screaming. She's mad that the gate is up (i don't want her going downstairs alone). Then she's mad b/c DH is either gone, or leaves while she's awake.
Ahhh....DH. Here in where my problems are. She is SUCH a daddy's girl. I don't mind that, really, BUT she and her for that matter can not say good bye. She has a fit when he leaves and what does he do, stops turns around and tries to comfort her. I just want him to leave. I also want him to get more stern with her. At night time (I'd prefer he not even be around at bed time b/c things go WAY like 100% smoother, w/o him) she whines to be read to. He reads. That's OK if it's just one book and not past 8pm. Then she doesn't want him to leave and he hugs, tells her whatever, and it just drags on and on. She throws a fit, he runs back in. Then she wants a sippy WITH ICE! He gets that of course not realizing that it sweats therefore making her bed a wet mess.
So yeah, I'm really needing him to step up and discipline her. She needs to know that daddy can discipline and say no too. I'm ALWAYS the one doing it all b/c I'm with them all the time. When he's home they sit and watch TV, hang out, etc.
I'm sorry if this is making no sense but today has just been a really bad day. The last week I've woken up at 545AM to her screaming about one thing or another. Today was really bad b/c i had her in our room watching TV. DH was downstairs getting ready for work and he came up to get shorts. Rather then just sneak in and out, he had to make a big deal of talking to her. She flipped out when he left. What followed was a big ol mess. She screamed, hit, kicked and eventually I was crying in the bathroom. C'man wakes up, gathers his wits and says 'I gotta get outta here'. I thought ME TOO!!
I told DH about this and am hoping that if not for me, he will do it for C'man and really try to be an active part of the discipline with Miss A.
I know I've heard other mom's say too that the dad always gets all the fun. We are trying to cook supper, do laundry, blah blah all day long with the kids under foot. Daddy comes home and it's like the super hero is here.
DH is now gone to the farm. Another fit ensued. C'man and her our out in the garage doing I don't even want to know what, with the chickens. I'm afraid I'll freak out when i find out what's going on but I'd best go look.
PRAY FOR ME!! I'm REALLY needing it. My patience are being tested.

Birthday Post

High time i get a post about miss A's 2nd birthday eh?? Being that we now are back to high speed instead of no speed i think i can do it. Not to mention my kids are playing outside in the DIRT! We finally cleaned up where a corn crib used to be. There is a HUGE section of dirt. Meaning every night my kids are filthy dirty and the dogs love laying in it. The snow fence has got to get up to keep anything 4 ft and under out of there.
But anyway....lets start with the original post of Miss A's b-day.

I made these, cupcakes in an ice cream cone and took them to the pool. We shared them with others there. Those pictures are on another camera. Her 'real' cake we had for her party on Sunday. NO I DID NOT MAKE IT! Heavens no. But isn't it ADORABLE! We have a lady here in town that buys our eggs and bakes/decorates cakes.

And she huffed and puffed and tried to blow out the candles. Actually she did do it but then she wanted more and then C'man had to have a turn.Yummy cake. I ate only the frosting and requested more. Finally some underwear for the child!

Her first Cabbage Patch. I'm excited too!

This was almost the best part watching the 'men' (my Dad and C'mans Godfather) put the toys together:)
C'man got presents to of course. Here's Cousin Jo Jo reading to him

After the guests left my parents and in laws all went out for pizza. That i guess was our 'night cap' to the festivities.

Shut the snow machine off

Would someone PLEASE shut that dang snow machine OFF! Yes you guessed it, it's snowing AGAIN!! Another 3-7 inches forecasted for this afternoon in to the evening. Schools are letting out and it's looking like I won't be doing circuit training.

Help me out here, this weekend is SIL's baby shower, across the state. I'm caravaning with my parents and g'parents. Men in one car, women (me driving) in the other. Discussion has been going on about me living Miss A home (did I blog about that??). Mom thinks i'd enjoy myself more without her. Not said in a mean way AT ALL! Just the truth. That little fancy pants takes a lot out of me which in turns leaves me very stressed and un easy to be around. I try to put on the happy face but I must not be doing a good job. So last night, like the last MANY nights, she was awake. Finally I went in her room to make sure all was well. I left and she screamed. DH took her then (the first time in like 12 months???). I laid in bed and thought 'that's it i'm leaving her home this weekend' My parents, well my mom, said she'd pay $20 for a sitter to stay with her while DH is at work. I think I need a weekend away from her. I need a full nights sleep (I know she'd be a bear in the hotel room) and just some time with C'man. BUT i'm feeling guilty and bad. I feel like maybe i'm being mean! But then would she really want to ride in a car for 4 hrs!?

What do you all think?? Take her and pray for the best a long with taking a good dose of anxiety meds:) or leave her home where she and daddy can hang out Saturday evening and all day Sunday?? I'm ready to hear it, good, bad or other wise.

Also my purse auction, what a waste of time. Thanks to those who bid (BFF-E) and if any of you would still like to get in, let me know. They don't end till this week but i'm fairly sure no bids will be coming.

Oh and the spell check is not working on this!? Sorry for all the mis-spelled words but I don't have the time to spend re-reading every post.
